There were a few hiccups in between, but the Bay Leaf Blasters got there in the end! They ended up leaving a few too many towards the end, but Heron Campbell took accountability towards the end and got the job done! 18 runs were required off the final over, and with the way Ryan John sucked out the momentum from the Blasters' chase, it seemed unlikely that they'd get there. But Campbell held his nerve, eyed the ball well enough and found the required boundaries!
Shermon Lewis and Ryan John kept a lid on the Bay Leaf Blasters top-order early on. Denis Smith couldn't get going, dragging one off off Lewis 5 balls in. Devon Smith and Heron Campbell found the going tough, but then, a couple of boundaries from Campbell off Jamie Buddy broke the shackles. Devon Smith, after a slow start, was just starting to get going, but his innings was cut short when he holed out.
Heron Campbell kept going, and he found some support from Shaba Noel at the other end. The Blasters were well placed going into the final 3 overs, but some really tight bowling almost took the game away from them ahead of the final over. Campbell, well set by then, stepped up to the occasion, and got the Blasters over the line.
