So that brings us to the end our coverage for this encounter. It was a long wait for the spectators in the ground, for the audience following our commentary and obviously for the commentators but it's always a pleasure keeping you posted on this beautiful game. Till the next time, this is me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) signing off also on behalf of my fellow commentator and good mate Pradeep. Goodnight! Cheers!!
10:32 PM IST: The match has been called off. The umpires felt it wasn't possible to even constitute a five over game and the captains shake hands and points have been split.
Bhilwara Kings have scored 117/6 in 17 overs
Iqbal Abdulla 40(33) | Robin Bist 32(27) Abdur rAZZAK 2/24(2) | Ashok Dinda 2/28(3)
So it seems that the first innings has ended as the Bhilwara Kings bowlers are in the ground, practising their drills. Just as the run chase was about to get underway, the rain has returned and has delayed the resumption yet again. Earlier in the day, the Southern Super Stars captain Ross Taylor won the toss and put the Bhilwara Kings in. The opening duo of Tillakaratne Dilshan and Lendl Simmons couldn't quite make a significant impact.
Dilshan was trapped in front by Abdur Razzak in the very first over and the pressure just kept building from there. He also accounted for Simmons who didn't look in the finest of nicks. Iqbal Abdullah was sent up the order and he didn't disappoint. He was sensible to begin his innings and dispatched anything loose on offer. The pitch was better than the previous day but was a difficult one to bat on.
The partnership with Robin Bist got them back in the game but both departed after getting a set. Abdulla was dismissed on 40 while Bist could muster 32. Irfan Pathan smashed a lusty blow before his departure while his elder brother Yusuf was just getting into the act when rain played spoilsport for the second time in the day. We will keep you posted regarding the updated target whenever we have an update.
10:03 pm IST: It seems that the first innings might be done here as the Kings bowlers are warming up in the middle. We will shortly know what's the revised target going to be here. As the resumption was in full swing, the rain has returned again! The covers have been brought back too.
10:00 pm IST: Alright, we have the latest news from the middle. The rain has stopped, covers are off and the resumption is not far away. Stay tuned!
09:35 pm IST: The rain has gotten heavier now, there were super soppers making their round, but those have been taken off the ground and the groundsmen too have walked off. Has been a frustrating evening for the players and the spectators in the ground this.
This is exceptional batting from Yusuf Pathan and as I am typing, the umpires are asking for the covers. Ross Taylor having a discussion with the umpires if they could have stayed on a bit longer. It has just gotten a bit heavier and we are going off.

16.6 Ashok Dinda to Yusuf Pathan, FOUR MORE! Rain or no rain, there's no stopping Yusuf Pathan here. Back of a length outside the off-stump, Yusuf waits and plays a late cut past the backward point and that races away again for another boundary. The covers have been called back on again!
The drizzle has again started to intensify.
That was absolutely pumped by Yusuf Pathan. He was expecting the short delivery and was quick to pounce onto that. Welcome runs towards the end of the innings.
16.5 Ashok Dinda to Yusuf Pathan, FOUR! Short into the batter, chest height and Yusuf swivels and hammered it away to deep backward square-leg, races to the ropes in a flash.
16.4 Ashok Dinda to Solomon Mire, back of a length on the fourth stump, Mire waits and cuts it to deep backward point for a single.
Solomon Mire, RHB is the new man in.
Barnwell comes down the track and mistimed the pull towards midwicket. Was straight to the fielder and he started running from nowhere. There was never a run in that. Absolutely shocking running
16.3 Ashok Dinda to Chris Barnwell, RUN-OUT! Absolute chaos that in the middle. Bangs in the short delivery, Barnwell pulled it straight to the fielder at square-leg and takes off immediately. Yusuf also takes off, but then bails out and Barnwell kept running to the other end. Throw comes to Goswami who had all the time in the world to flick the bails off and Barnwell walks off for a golden duck.
Christopher Barnwell, RHB is the new man in.
This is a stunning catch from Johan Botha. Irfan had struck that flat and hard, Botha made good ground and made the catch look ridiculously easy. Third umpire just wanting to reconfirm. Looks pretty much in control.
16.2 Ashok Dinda to Irfan Pathan, OUT! BOTHA TAKES ANOTHER SCREAMER! Great anticipation from Botha, was stationed very fine at long-on. Irfan smokes this one straight down the ground, but Botha running around clings on to a brilliant catch.
16.1 Ashok Dinda to Irfan Pathan, FOUR! Friendly full toss into the batter, Irfan hangs back and flat batted it straight down the ground, picks up a boundary. Irfan looking at the square-leg umpire, but that seemed to have dipped on him and might've finished below the waist line.
