BRE outclass TRA comfortably by 7 wickets, in what was a one-sided contest in the end. Naveed Chaudhary and Yasir Dullu star in the chase after a superb bowling effort restricted TRA to a paltry total of 73/7.
Yasir Dullu and Ali Raza Islam got BRE off to a steady start with a 44-run opening stand. They never looked in trouble and were always in control of the chase apart from a very brief window.
Jawad Ahmed drew first blood as late as the fifth over to dismiss Yasir Dullu. Chaudhry Adeel then followed it up with another scalp in the following over before Jawad Ahmed picked up his second wicket of the match in the seventh over to send Ali Raza Islam back to the dugout.
While TRA got a slim ray of hope, Naveed Chaudhary's arrival at the crease disrupted all their plans. Chaudhary slammed a quickfire 11-ball 26 runs to wrap up the match with 8 balls to spare.
With the win, BRE pick up two points from their opening match while TRA will have to wait to put their first points on the board.
