The Lankan Lions tried their best to chase this total down, but could not quite do so in the end.

The bowlers of Bucharest Gladiators ensured that they pitched the ball in the right areas and forced the Lions to play from the crease.

The latter tried their best to hit balls out of the park on a regular basis but could not do so successfully.

The Gladiators will be extremely pleased with themselves for having picked up a win in the first game of this new tournament and will hope that they can carry this momentum further into it.

The Lions, for their part, know that they should have coasted to a comfortable win here but failed to do so due to their own negligence.
