So, we've had a low-scoring thriller in Dhaka this afternoon with Chattogram Challengers taking the bragging rights in this contest. There's more cricket heading your way, though, because there is a doubleheader in store! Make sure you switch tabs to tune in for that game. For now, this is Arya signing off on behalf of my partner, Bidipto. Goodbye!
Shuvagata Hom (Chattogram Challengers captain): It's a disappointing loss, especially after doing so well in the first innings. The fielding left a bit to desired in this game. With two games to go, we have to try and win both of them. It would be an honorable way to finish the tournament and in the standings.
Ziaur Rahman is the Player of the Match. Here is what he has to say: We were very upset prior to this game because we weren't getting the results we wanted. We're very happy to turn it around in this manner and get the win. It was a difficult task for us, not only in the middle but mentally as well. Thanks to god, we got the win.
Nasir Hossain (Dhaka Dominators captain): Feeling bad that we couldn't chase 118. I can't put it into words. It's very disheartening to lose like this after doing so well with the ball in the first innings to have a great start. The batters should have taken responsibility but we never stepped up as a collective unit. It should have been done. We should have won it but it was just one of those days where nothing went right for us.
This was a game for Dhaka to win and they started off in fantastic fashion with their openers - Soumya Sarkar and Abdullah Al Mamun - getting them off to a flying start!
But the way they batted through the middle phase, cost them big time, as the idea to bat the full 20 overs to win the match, went for a toss! They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and kept on getting pressurized by dot balls, with the intent of not getting a move on.
The batting from Nasir Hossain was a little too defensive. In trying to anchor the innings, quite a few loose deliveries were let off the hook. The running between the wickets too, left a lot to be desired. Some definite twos were kept at ones and it seemed as if Dhaka took things a bit too easy for their liking.
Chattogram, who made plenty of mistakes themselves, were handed lifelines, when the boundary balls were taken for singles. But the bowling from Mrittunjoy Chowdhury, Ziaur Rahman and Curtis Campher, brought them back into the contest, even when the chips were down!
It was a good pitch to bat on and for sure, there were no demons in it, to stifle the scoring. The mistakes were made by the batters only, and Dhaka have nothing else to blame for this loss.
Chattogram Challengers have another match left in this campaign, but Dhaka Dominators are done with the tournament, unable to finish on a high.

19.6 Ziaur Rahman to Jubair Hossain, CHATTOGRAM CHALLENGERS PULL OFF A SPECTACULAR WIN! DHAKA DOMINATORS LOSE A MATCH THAT WAS THEIRS TO WIN! Full on off, a massive swing across the line and a big miss! That will be a dot ball to finish!
19.5 Ziaur Rahman to Al-Amin Hossain, slow and short outside off, Al-Amin tries to play a forceful shot to long-off, and gets it away there, only for a single!
All smiles on the field and in the dugout as far as Chattogram are concerned. They've got this W in the bag.
19.4 Ziaur Rahman to Al-Amin Hossain, full on off, in the block hole and drilled out, back to the bowler, for no run.
19.3 Ziaur Rahman to Jubair Hossain, over the wicket, good length ball on leg, heaved across to deep square-leg from the crease, for a single only.
Another one bites the dust. Will Jubair Hossain be the final nail in the coffin? He is on strike.
19.2 Ziaur Rahman to Arafat Sunny, round the wicket, BOWLED HIM! Good length ball on off-and-middle, slower one, in with the angle and Arafat missed his swing across the line by backing away, only to be done for lack of pace and the ball then hit the stumps, flush, to end his stay at the crease!
19.1 Ziaur Rahman to Al-Amin Hossain, over the wicket, good length ball on middle, Al-Amin steps out, hits it down to long-off and settles only for a single.
Ziaur Rahman is trusted with the responsibility of the final over. Dhaka need 19 to pull off something special...
