Salt Pond Breakers won by 10 wickets (with 9 deliveries to spare)
Kadeem Alleyne 82*(33) | Seon Sween 29*(19)
That was a straightforward run chase in the end for the Salt Pond Breakers as they came out triumphant by all 10 wickets courtesy of a staggering knock from the blade of Kadeem Alleyne. After a great time with the ball, Alleyne smashed the bowlers all around the park and ensured that his team didn’t had to break a sweat to chase that down.
The runs started to flow right from ball one and there was no looking back from there. There was some break in consolidation in the middle overs but that was only for a brief period of time and it seemed that Alleyne had everything under control. Seeon Sween took his time early on but then consolidated when he got things under control.
A good 7th over kept the hopes alive for the Explorers but it was all done and dusted in the 8th over as he smashed Descartes for 22 runs which all but sealed it for his team. In the end, a six from Seon Sween saw them get over the line in the 9th over.

7.6 Shadrack Descartes to Kadeem Alleyne, DROPPED! Short and wide of off, Alleyne slaps it to deep point where the fielder drops a simple catch. Was a pretty lethargic effort!
That was a terrible collision between the two players. Both players are down receiving some treatment from the physio.
7.5 Shadrack Descartes to Kadeem Alleyne, MISCUED AND DROPPED! Short and wide of off, Alleyne goes for the cut shot but he top-edges it toward point. Hooper runs back and dives to get hold of the ball but Sealron runs in and collides with him. Hooper ends up dropping the catch while the batters take two runs!
This is enormous hitting from Kadeem Alleyne. He has just sealed the game in this over. What an exceptional knock this has been so far. Can he finish it off in style?
7.4 Shadrack Descartes to Kadeem Alleyne, THIS IS ENORMOUS! Length delivery outside-off, Alleyne cracks it well over long-on for another maximum. This is stunningly clean ball striking from Alleyne!
7.3 Shadrack Descartes to Kadeem Alleyne, FOUR MORE! Short of a length with width, Alleyne sits back and cuts it behind point for a boundary. Too much width offered and Descartes has to pay for it!
7.2 Shadrack Descartes to Kadeem Alleyne, short of a length delivery, Alleyne pulls it to deep mid-wicket where Walker runs across to his left and dives to stop the ball. Two runs taken
That is a mighty hit from Alleyne. All of a sudden the equation looks straightforward. He continues to press on here. the Breakers should get this done now.
7.1 Shadrack Descartes to Kadeem Alleyne, WHAT A HIT! Full and wide of off, Alleyne moves across and tonks it way over long-on for a maximum. That was right in the slot but Alleyne still needed to put it away!
That wasn't a bad over from Shammon Hooper. Just 8 runs coming off that and the Explorers are just holding on here. 29 runs to get in 18 deliveries, looks straightforward but you never know.
