Commentary

So, with that victory, Cobra CC grab some crucial points and surge high into the top six of the points table. Dunabogdany CC are yet to win a game and the misery continues. Despite starting off strong, the Dunabogdany CC failed to go along with the momentum and fell short by a deficit of 16 runs. Chasing a target of 138 runs was always going to be a daunting task and we got to witness the downfall as the second innings progressed.

Yadwinder Singh (32) and Chris Dowle (13) gave the perfect start to their side smacking the new ball for boundaries and over boundaries. Dunabogdany was in a commanding position after three overs, going over at the rate of 14 runs per over.

As the wickets started tumbling, we got to see a drop in the run-scoring graph during the middle overs. Abdul Haseeb seemed scratchy as per the T10 format, scoring 25* off 17 balls during his stay. He hung around at one end till the close of play while a couple of wickets fell prey to Muhammad Burhan and Shaharyar Butt.

Kirtikumar Dhayfule arrived at the scene and jolted a few blows. But the mat had slipped off the floor even before the final over where 30 runs were needed. Eventually, Cobra's defended it comprehensively, winning by a margin of 16 runs.

Earlier, the Cobra's piled up 137 runs in 10 overs, ensuring an all-out slaughter. The first two overs exploded for 13 runs each as we got to witness some real hammering from the batters straight away. We got to see a bizare dismissal where a batter failed to put away a juicy full-toss and was cleaned up. They reached a total of 58 runs for the loss a single wicket at the halfway mark of the innings.

What surprised everyone was the over from Bibek Singh. We got to see 24 runs of the particular over- three of which were sixes, and the remaining six runs came in the form of wides. And the best of them was that Bibek scalped wickets in the first and the final ball of the over.

Usama Muhammad scored a blistering 31 off 9 deliveries with five sixes on display. Some llusty blows from the lower order eventually helped Cobra's fetch 137 runs on the board.
