Despite Foqrul Islam's best efforts, a total of 144 was always going to be out of reach with the start that the Elbe Tigers got off to. Islam slammed a total of 5 sixes in his unbeaten knock of 47. We might have seen a different outcome had he been promoted up the order. He didn't quite receive enough support or the strike eventually, and so, the Tigers were left with too many to chase in the end.

While they were finding the boundaries quite often initially, the Elbe Tigers just weren't able to clear the ropes on a frequent basis. Hossain Mobarak and Munireddy Singana got them off to a good start, but they kept lagging behind all along. The Tigers batters did start to clear the ropes, but in the process of that, they lost wickets at regular intervals. In the end, SG Einheit Halle emerged victorious by a comfortable margin.
