Scotland XI brought up a famous win over their bitter rivals to the south, England XI. This is a momentous occasion and one that will surely resonate over the ages in this fascinating T10 competition, the European Cricket Championship. Oli Hairs set up a big total for his side thanks to the monstrous hits he employed en route his 71 while the likes of Jack Jarvis and Bradley Currie wrapped things off for the Scots.

England did not have any real heroes and they will have to look deep to find any. They also need to look into the mirror to see if their batters can indeed take some responsibility. This was just Day 1 of the ongoing Championship week, so a lot lies ahead for us. The Scots, however, showed us what they can do, if given the right opportunities.
