Latif bowling the penultimate over does not conceded a boundary which makes it 16 runs needed from the final over for the Lions. Hadi did concede a couple of maximums but made sure that it was only when the game slipped out of hands from the Lions. AB managed to reach his half-century in style but could not get his side over the line.

AB was single handedly sending the balls flying over the ropes and helping the Lions get closer and closer to the target. In the penultimate over, Latif manages to draw a false shot from AB but the Viktoria skipper at mid-wicket can't hold on the most crucial catch.

Vinny managed to find a boundary as well and as it looked like the duo was starting to stitch a partnership, Vinny was taken out by Harsha. The Lions were once again pushed on the back foot but AB carried on with the big hits while Indika the new man in took his time.

The boundaries were not coming for the Lions and that increased the required run rate. AB and Vinny took their time as they waited around for a couple of overs. AB just at the halfway stage decided to throw his bat around and found a crucial maximum for his side.

However, he could not stick around for long and was sent packing as well. Akila and Vinny the new batters in just tried to weather the storm and worked the ball around but as Akila tried to open his arms, he lost his wicket as well.

So coming into chase a decent target of 99 runs, the Lions did not have the best of starts as they lost an early wicket in the form of Bandara. Imran at the other end waited around and started to tonk the boundaries without wasting much time.

Well Hadi bowled well at the start of the over, he does not allow Indika or AB to find the big hits when it mattered the most. AB did find a couple of maximum's from the last couple of deliveries but it was a bit late for the Lions. In the end, they are just a couple of runs short of the target.
