Despite a late-order flourish from Najam Shahzad, who fought a lone battle for his team, Malo have put up a underwhelming performance in the run-chase and end up losing by 10 runs to give FIghets CC their first win.
The run-chase never got going as Malo kept losing wickets right from the beginning and were tottering at 29/6 at one stage as their top-5 batters departed for single digit scores.
Parwinder Singh and Parminder Singh ripped through the heart of Malo's batting picking up 3 and 2 wickets respectively with some accurate bowling.
It looked like Fighters CC would take all 4 points from this encounter but then a solid half-century from Shahzad ensured that Malo got close to the total.
Earlier in the piece, Fighters CC got to 112 on the back of contributions from Dalwinder, Parwinder and Harjot, their top-3 scored and that proved to be the difference in this one.
