Match Summary: Fresh Tropical beat Albano by 50 runs.
Shoaib Malik 31* (12) | Sikandar Abbas 4/10 (2) Parveen Kumar 21 (6) | Bharti Bangar 3/15 (2)
It was just a procession. One after another, they came and went like ninepins. Albano would have backed themselves to chase down a target of 96 and open their account for the season but alas, their batters never turned up despite their bowlers putting in a solid display in the first half.
Bilal Hamid was impeccable with his radar in the first over as he snared a couple of wickets to set the tone. From thereon, Fresh Tropical never looked back and once Zahid Cheema sent skipper Monu Lal packing for a solitary run, things were looking pear-shaped for Albano. It soon turned into disarray as 4/3 became 7/4 and then 11/6, with Sikandar Abbas joining the party.
Abbas bowled with excellent pace and hurried the batters, never allowing them to get ahead of the game. In fact, that was completely out of the picture. Albano were so far behind that despite a brief counter-attack from Parveen Kumar, there was not much they could do to storm back into contention. He fell soon after and the writing was on the wall for Albano, as they crumbled like a pack of cards.
This is a real confidence-sapping defeat if there ever was one and having lost three on the bounce now, it's going to take something special for Albano to bounce back as the tournament rolls along. As for Fresh Tropical, they've won their fourth match and are soaring high. They are looking unstoppable at this point and their opponents will do well to be wary of the challenge that they pose.
And that is that! It has been a procession of wickets and an alarming capitulation sees Albano succumb to their third defeat of the tournament!
7.5 Asim Ali to Ravinder Singh, SKIED... AND GONE! That will be that. Loopy delivery in the slot for Ravinder and he throws the kitchen sink at it. Skied high but there's no distance on it, allowing the fielder at mid-wicket to settle underneath it before holding on.
Ravinder Singh c Shoaib Malik b Asim Ali 4 (7b, 0x4, 0x6)
7.4 Asim Ali to Ravinder Singh, slightly short outside the off-stump. Ravinder steers it to short third where a misfield allows two to be taken
7.3 Asim Ali to Ammy Nirman, into the pitch outside the off-stump. Tapped into the covers for a run
7.2 Asim Ali to Ammy Nirman, OH! Flighted on the good length around off-stump. Turns away from Nirman to beat the outside edge, o run
7.1 Asim Ali to Ravinder Singh, flighted full on the middle stump. Ravinder swipes it to deep mid-wicket for a single

Finally an over where a wicket does not fall! It's been that kind of outing for Albano and they will hope that the last wicket pair at least bats out the remaining quota of overs to try and get as close to the target as possible.

6.1 Shoaib Malik to Ammy Nirman, wide. Starts off with by spraying one beyond the tramline. Will have to reload.

What a spell from Sikandar Abbas! He has that extra pace to hustle the batters and a deflated Albano lineup has certainly felt the heat today. Just a matter of when and not if hereon with just one wicket left for Fresh Tropical to wrap things up.
