Anuradha the German skipper leads from the front as she stays unbeaten on 22. While her partner Gough added 14 runs to the total which helps Germany to get across the line quite comfortably. Germany have a tough match to play later in the day as they face off against the Netherlands and this will surely boost up their confidence a lot.

Gough found the first boundary of the match against Emma and along with her skipper she just continued to add the runs. French bowlers were just not able to bowl those threatening deliveries which would really challenge the German batters.

Well, nothing much to ride home for France really! Coming in to chase just 46 runs, Germany had a bit of a shaky start as they lost their opening batter Anna quite early in the innings. German skipper then made her way out to the middle and did well to work the ball around alongside Gough.

Marie does bowl a couple of good deliveries but she did not have much to play with as Anuradha gets the winning run. A comfortable victory for Germany this one and they will be mighty pleased with this after facing a thumping defeat against Ireland yesteday.

Short of a length at the stumps on middle and off, Anuradha stands her ground to control her pull in front of square on the leg-side and that will be all for Germany as the batters cross over.
