It began as a chase that was touted to be difficult for Golden Star Bonn but they've simply made mincemeat of the target in the end. So much so that they've just cruised to the target with as many as seven deliveries to spare despite being tasked with overhauling Dussledorf Blackcaps' score of 131/5. Run chases just don't get better than this now, do they?

The intent was clear with Naeem Khan and Syed Naqvi going hammer and tongs from the word go, putting the Blackcaps attack under immense pressure. What was critical was the fact that they never let the asking rate get out of bounds and were at the very least, close to the eight-ball if not ahead of it. With all their wickets intact at the halfway mark, the pressure was suddenly on the Blackcaps to make things happen with Naeem in particular proving very difficult to bowl to.

Every option tried out by skipper Gaurav Gupta didn't work until Neeraj Sharma landed a double-whammy in the seventh over. As long as Naeem was out there though, there was only one way this contest was headed. It reflected in the manner in which the incoming batters didn't waste any time in going for their shots themselves, shutting the door on any sort of a comeback from the Blackcaps.

In fact, it was all but a far cry for the Blackcaps with Naeem eventually finishing it off with a mighty six to take his team to a resounding victory. A win which is bound to boost their confidence while also consolidating their position in the top half of the table, pushing them into second position as well.

And that is how you wrap up a game in style! How fitting it is that Naeem has had the final say in the outcome with Golden Star Bonn absolutely cruising to their target!
