From the beginning of this innings, it appeared as if Hornchurch were keyed up to take the battle to the Dreux bowlers, and challenge their claims to supremacy with the ball in hand. However, it turned out to be much easier than they earlier thought it to be.
Hornchurch knew that they had to make good use of the powerplay, and that is what they did. They used the fielding restrictions to good effect and did not allow the bowlers of Dreux to challenge them with their restrictive lines and lengths towards the end.
This win will give Hornchurch a lot of confidence, and is expected to help them build for their further games. Dreux, on the other hand, have a lot of work to do before they move further into this tournament. This was a fascinating game, albeit a tad one-sided.
