Harbhajan Singh (Manipal Tigers captain): We backed ourselves, we kept on attacking them by taking the wickets and we batted brilliantly. It's always nice to play against greats like Kevin. He has been such a phenomenal fielder. It wasn't the ball to get him out. Lovely to get the scenario to play against these legends. After what happened in Jammu, he was under the pump. We feel that he is one of the finest hitters of the calm. He is calm and composed and we knew Perera would take us home if he stayed there till the end. We will try to enjoy the remaining matches and hopefully trophy will be in our hands by the end of it.

Gautam Gambhir (India Capitals captain): I thought when we lost three wickets it was a good recovery to reach 187. The margin for error is pretty small here and these things happens in T20 cricket. We were just one wicket away from winning the game. We were definitely in the game. When the bowler is under pressure, they do make mistakes but we back our bowlers. It's a beautiful wicket and a beautiful outfield. It's a great centre and one of the best in India. Look I don't like being in that position. We had destiny in our hands and we couldn't deliver. Playoffs is one thing we are looking forward to.

Colin de Grandhomme (Player of the Match): Looked like a decent score. It was tough to bowl on that surface. Me and Amit got a good partnership which allowed the other bowlers to finish it off. We knew it was very chaseable saying India play Australia not long ago. It was just react to what's coming. Going hard whenever there is something in the radar, hopefully we can make the top two.

It turned out to be a humdinger and in the end, it was the Manipal Tigers who held their nerves and earned a four-wicket victory with a delivery to spare. Thisara Perera batted brilliantly in the final stretch of the innings to take the Tigers overs the finish line. The Manipal Tigers also became the second team to qualify for the playoffs. It was a tricky run chase for the Tigers, needing to score at more than 9 runs an over.

Kyle Coetzer came out all guns blazing, smashing a couple of boundaries of the very first two balls of the run chase. Chadwick Walton took his time initially but struck some crisp shots as he got set. KP Appanna provided the maiden breakthrough in the form of Coetzer's wicket. Colin de Grandhomme was sent up the order to target the middle overs and he didn't disappoint.

The intentions were pretty clear from the outset and took the India Capitals bowlers to the cleaners. A quickfire 58 came off just 35 deliveries which was studded with three fours and four sixes. He got ample support from Amit Verma at the other end. Once Grandhomme departed, Verma took the onus on himself to play the big shots. He clubbed Hamish Bennett for a couple of colossal sixes to bring the equation down.

Some quick wickets in the middle overs again tilted the scales a bit towards the India Capitals. Isuru Udana executed his Yorkers brilliantly but didn't get enough support from the other bowlers and his fielders. It needed Thisara Perera to rise to the occasion. They stretched every part of their body to get those crucial braces and in the end, it was a pleasing moment for the Tigers.

18.6 Rusty Theron to Imran Khan, this is brilliant running from Imran Khan. Slower short of a length delivery, into the surface and that has been swiped away towards the deep square leg region, comes back for a couple. A better throw there and Imran would have been in trouble.
