The Indian River Rowers were never really in the game right from the word go as the opening duo of Gidron Pope and Sherlon George took on the attack from the first over itself and managed to get the required rate under 6. In the end, they raced to the victory target with 27 balls to spare and with 9 wickets in hand.

Gidron Pope provided the onslaught with a quickfire 26 in a mere 10 deliveries and there was no looking back from there on. He was eventually castkled by Joel Durand but the platform was laid for a quick finish to the game. Sherlon George took the onus on himself following Pope’s departure.

He remained unbeaten on 36 off a mere 16 deliveries which included 5 fours and a couple of sixes. He was given good support at the other end by Brian Joseph who remained unbeaten on 9 off 7 deliveries. Eventually it proved to be a cakewalk for the Valley Hikers.
