Commentary

SO THAT'S THAT! GENT BEAT ICCB BY 6 WICKETS.

Gent romp home comfortably after defeating ICCB by 6 wickets. Majid Ali (25) and Faisal Khaliq (23) were the top batters for them. ICCB's bowlers were just not up to the mark, and this was made full use of by the batters of Gent. This, in the end, became a rather one-sided encounter. Gent's batsmen played responsibly, and made sure that wickets did not fall at regular intervals. If that had happened, this game would have gone out of their control. ICCB's batters had let them down earlier in their innings, and they need to look at themselves hard in the mirror.

Alongside Gent's Majid Ali, Pratap Ambati of ICCB, with 42 from 25 balls was the other top batter in this match. Reyhan Faiz (4/17) of Gent and Shahmeer Mohammad (1/6) of ICCB were the bowlers who made themselves proud. Gent will be extremely happy with this performance and hope to carry their momentum forward. Do not go anywhere just yet though, as the second match between these two teams in today's doubleheader is about to get underway soon!
