That brings us to the end of this Group C final. Till the next time, this is myself (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) signing off also on behalf of my fellow commentator and good mate Rajarshi Das. Goodnight! Cheers!
Italy won by 6 wickets (with 14 deliveries to spare)
That turned out to be a pretty straightforward run chase for Italy as they chased down Denmark's score of 110 with utmost ease in the end. Given Italy's consistent showing in the tournament, it was always going to be a tall ask for the Danish bowlers to defend this. Zain Naqvi and Dinidu Marage started off briskly. Marage struck a couple of boundaries before departing to Eshan Karimi in the first over.
Rajmani Sandhu struck some lusty blows before his departure for just 10 runs. Zain Naqvi continued the good work and was joined by Amir Sharif who turned the game with a brilliant partnership. They batted superbly and kept founding the boundaries consistently. The partnership of 55 runs set the platform for the run chase and in the end, they chased it down with 14 deliveries to spare.
Nidhermal Fernando came late in the oder and blaster a couple of sixes to win it for Italy. Denmark doesn't make the championship two times in a row while Italy makes it for the third time in a row. Naqvi was the top scorer for Italy with an unbeaten 52. Eshan Karimi chipped in with a couple of wickets for Denmark.
7.4 Abdullah Mahmood to Nishermal Fernando, SIX! Game, set, match, and Italy advance to the Championship week! Mahmood goes full and wide again, Fernando, down on one knee, slices this one aerially towards deep cover, times it to perfection, clears the ropes and sends the Italian dugout into a frenzy!
7.3 Abdullah Mahmood to Nishermal Fernando, SIX! Full, fired in outside off stump, Fernando lines it up and smears the ball on the volley! He ends up mopping the electronic scoreboard up at long off, surely, that's a first in the ECC!
7.2 Abdullah Mahmood to Nishermal Fernando, good length delivery just outside off, dabbed to the right of the man at cover, the batters refrain from a single after a bit of hesitation
Nishermal Fernando, RHB is the new man in.
7.1 Abdullah Mahmood to Joy Perera, OUT! Full, wide outside off stump, Perera looks to give it a whack and clear cover, but ends up offering catching practice to the man in the deep.
Joy Perera c Jonas Henriksen b Abdullah Mahmood 0 (2b, 0x4, 0x6)
Abdullah Mahmood, right-arm off break comes into the attack.
Italy nearing the target and Zain Naqvi continuing the good work and reaching a well deserved half century. He has made the run chase look like a formality and will be hoping to finish it off with a few lusty blows.

6.6 Eshan Karimi to Zain Naqvi, FOUR! Fifty for Naqvi! Good length delivery around middle and leg, Naqvi paddles this one past the gap at long leg, and finds the boundary
6.5 Eshan Karimi to Zain Naqvi, on a good length outside off, Naqvi doesn't offer a shot
6.4 Eshan Karimi to Zain Naqvi, FOUR! Fired in on a full length on off stump, Naqvi clubbed the ball back over the bowler's head, and beat the man in the deep
6.3 Eshan Karimi to Zain Naqvi, fired in on a length outside off, Naqvi looked to cut but missed
6.2 Eshan Karimi to Joy Perera, full, fired in on the pad, Perera looked to flick it away but was struck on the pad. The batters rush through for a leg bye
Joy Perera, RHB is the new man in.
6.1 Eshan Karimi to Amir Sharif, OUT! A wicket against the run of play for Denmark, one that might have come a touch too late, maybe? Full on off stump, Sharif hoisted this one high up towards the leg side, didn't get enough distance, the man at deep square settled under it and took the catch!
Amir Sharif c Delawar Khan b Eshan Karimi 26 (11b, 1x4, 3x6)
Eshan Karimi [1-0-9-1] is back into the attack.
This partnership climbs over 50 and the carnage is on from the two batters. Zain Naqvi has belted anything in his radar while Amir Sharif hasn't been far off either. Just 20 more runs needed in the last 4 overs and we could be in done in just an over.

5.6 Delawar Khan to Zain Naqvi, TOP EDGED FOR SIX ONCE AGAIN! Banged in short just outside off, Naqvi had a swat across the line this time, the ball took the edge and ended up landing over the ropes behind the keeper yet again!
