Italy have done it and we've had an absolute thriller here at Milan! They did it quite easily in the end as they finished the game with 5 balls to spare but they were under real pressure at the halfway stage.

Italy didn't really get off to a great start as they kept loosing wickets at regular intervals! It was Zain Ali who held the innings together with Joy Perera and gave some impetus to the chase. Ali top scored for his blistering 36 run cameo. He was given good support towards the end by Simranjit who played a breezy 15 run knock towards the back end . In the end , it was the spin twins Damith and jagmeet who held their nerves and got them over the line with ease.

Romania fought hard with the ball but they didn't really have enough to defend in the end! Their inexperience showed as they ended up leaking runs at crucial stages of the innings. Manmeet Koli did well as he picked up two wickets while Taranjeet Singh also played his part bowling well in the middle overs. However it was Ali Hussain, who shined as the pick of the bowlers picking up 2 for 15 in his spell.
