As was expected, Koln CC make light work of the target at hand. The game was killed off in the powerplay itself, with Akshay Dhani going great guns. Sasanka Sanka and Manav Panwar went on to provide him good support, and were instrumental in getting Koln CC past the line. The Aachen Rising Stars did have interest early on as they nipped out Tejas Morbagal, but the game slipped out of their grasp rather quickly.

It was Ahmadshah Shirzad who provided the breakthrough, but the first over of the innings from him went for 17. Dhani dug into Ejaz Hashmi in the following over, taking him for 28 out off the 29 off it, and there was no looking back after that - Koln CC had half the runs in the first two overs itself. Dhani's departure at the start of the 4th over did very little, as Manav Panwar walked in, kept the onslaught going, and ensured that Koln CC meandered past the line with plenty of time to spare.
