Lathbury Lightning beat Royal Tigers by 10 wickets!
Sameer Nayak 45* (21) | Edmund Packard 1/8 Stan Ahuja 37 (28) | Avinash Pai 1/12
Sameer Nayak and Iain Latin ensured that this game became a rather one-sided affair, and this will hurt Royal Tigers tremendously. The latter showed a lot of promise, and put up brilliant performances over the last couple of days, but somehow things just did not work out for them. Lightning made easy work of the target that they had set.
Earlier in the day, Stan Ahuja tried his best to prop the total of Royal Tigers up to some respectability, but somehow it just did not work out. The bowlers of the Lightning, led by Edmund Packard and skipper Avinash Pai, were well on top of their game, and gave away no freebies at all.
The Lightning will take a lot of confidence from this game, and it is bound to show in their next fixtures. Unfortunately, Royal Tigers Budapest, who hail from the country of Hungary, will have to go back home. Lightning win this game and progress further into this competition.
6.2 Abhishek Kheterpal to Sameer Nayak, that's game set and match. Carves it away over point for a single and gets the match done.
6.1 Abhishek Kheterpal to Sameer Nayak, FOUR! Just one more needed. Glides this length delivery a shade outside off down towards the vacant deep third man region.
Abhishek Kheterpal [1-0-9-0] comes back into the attack.
The Lightning are almost there now! They can get there with a huge strike now. Just five runs are needed.

5.6 Abhitesh Prashar to Iain Latin, FOUR! Latin smashes the slower length a tad outside off past the backward point fielder and it races away to the fence. Latin stays on top of the bounce and plays it delectably.
5.5 Abhitesh Prashar to Sameer Nayak, fuller outside off, driven towards the cover area for a single.
5.4 Abhitesh Prashar to Sameer Nayak, SIX! That's out of the ground. Sameer gets inside the line of the ball to a short of a length delivery on the body and that has been helped away over the fine leg fence.
5.3 Abhitesh Prashar to Sameer Nayak, FOUR! That is cut away nicely by Sameer. On a length just a shade outside off, Nayak with a perfect square cut past the backward point region and off to the fence.
5.2 Abhitesh Prashar to Iain Latin, low full toss outside off, Latin squeezes this away towards the long-on region from the inside half of the bat and takes a quick single.
5.1 Abhitesh Prashar to Iain Latin, on a good-length around middle angling into the right-hander, tapped back to the bowler by Latin.
Abhitesh Prashar [1-0-9-0] comes back into the attack.
Five overs have been bowled, and the Lightning are well ahead of where they have to be at this moment.

4.3 Abdul Mannan to Sameer Nayak, a low full toss outside off, that's a late cut down towards the short third man fielder for a single.
That was a terrifying collision on the field. We are seeing the medics out to tend to the fielders who collapsed after crashing onto each other while attempting the catch.
