Match tied (Liege win on Golden ball)

It was a crazy game and it should have been a drawn match as both sides fought excellently out in the middle. Liege gave everything they had with the ball in hand and Qui Vive scored their highest total in the tournament. Slight errors towards the end from the Qui Vive batsmen cost them the game as they lost the match in the dying moments and went down in a humdinger.

Rohit Jhamb and Maninder Singh walked out to the middle. Jhambh got off to a flier as he scored a couple of boundaries in the first over. Later, Singh took on as he continued scoring runs at a brisk pace and also cashed in on the boundary balls. He was batting really well but lost the support of partners at the other end. Shreyas Potdar and Murad Jiwa did everything they could but still couldn't avert the Golden Ball. They failed to do it again in the Golden ball and went down fighting as they registered an identical score to that of what Liege managed to.

The bowling from Liege was better than their counterparts. They lost track of how they were bowling in the powerplay and conceded a little bit too much, but they came back well and struck at regular intervals. Ahsan Iqbal took a wicket and Shafiullah Zakhel, Naseer ud Din too chipped in with a wicket. The star of the show was the young Burhan Niaz who struck twice and picked up 2 wickets, displaying great confidence

They try to take the second run but Niaz is quick on his feet and picks up the ball to ensure the batters don't sneak in the second run and forces a golden ball!
