Winifred Duraisingam, Malaysia skipper!: I think it is a learning curve for all of us. Hope the girls take back a lot of positives. The other two departments we have been doing well but we have been failing with the bat. We all have enjoyed playing in this big tournament. Watching how the big teams operate was a good learning for us! The girls have made a lot of friends and they have a lot of idols in the other teams!

We were expecting a closer contest, but Thailand Women ensured that it would turn out to be a one-sided affair in the second innings!

There were far too many dot balls played out by the Malaysian batters, who could not get the ball off the square at times, trying hard as they could. Thailand put the squeeze on them right from the start and both seam and spin could not be contended with by the batters.

Fielding was much better from the Thailand Women and they looked sharper. They have definitely punched above their weight and will be buoyed by the six points they have got up to now. With other results going their way, things can well turn out to be in favour of them as regards, qualifying for the semi-finals.

Malaysia are done for the tournament but with more and more games under their belt at this level, they are bound to improve.
