18:18 Local Time (12:48 IST): Charis Bekker is the Player of the Match: Everyone was cheering me on and I was just like I bowled my best ball (to dismiss Meg Lanning) and I happened to be running, which was kind of awesome. The girls have been awesome and they welcomed me really well; I know a couple of girls in the team, everyone else has just gotten around me. I have played against some of them in the WNCL (Women's National Cricket League) and they have been great. I have got no idea if I'll be playing in the next game.
18:13 Local Time (12:43 IST): Melbourne Renegades win by 15 runs
An all-round performance from the Melbourne Renegades sees them win the Melbourne-Derby and get 2 crucial points from this which takes them to the third position in the points table.
They did really well to post a challenging 146 runs on the board on the back of handy contributions from Capsey and a 55-run stand for the 6th wicket between Stalenburg and Faltum.
The bowlers came out with their plans in place and stuck to it throughout the 20 overs. They choked the Stars' batters in the powerplay giving away just 11 runs in the first 4 overs and also dismissed McKeon in the meanwhile.
Yastika Bhatia struggled to get the scoreboard moving for a large part of her innings and was eventually run-out. Lanning and Sutherland stayed together for a while but as soon as Lanning fell in the 12th over, the gates opened for the Renegades.
Wickets kept falling as all the bowlers chipped in on the act, 6 of them were used and all 6 got a wicket apiece along with 2 run-outs from skipper Matthews. Kapp struck some good boundaries but fell rather soon and Deepti Sharma towards the end had too much to do and could not finish the job as the Stars fell short by 15 runs.
