Thus we come to end of the match here. The two finalists for this season of the Abu Dhabi T10 League are the New York Strikers and the Deccan Gladiators. The Strikers will be facing a Gladiators unit who seem to have peaked at the right time. The challenge will be tough and an exciting clash is on prospect. This is Probuddha Bhattacharjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Arya Sekhar Chakraborty. Don't forget to tune in on Sportskeeda tomorrow and enjoy the exciting action from the summit clash.
Nicholas Pooran (Deccan Gladiators captain): Yeah it would be wonderful. We have worked very hard to get to the final and we have destiny in our own hands. We knew how good Salamkheil is playing in the CPL. Yeah it's nice to have those guys, have the experience and same group of people going into the final. We have a chance and that's enough. I hope the result is the same but they have been very good in the tournament. They are bowling well and we have to respect that. I will like to continue to win. The guys deserved to be in the final, give a big shot tomorrow and try and win this. I can only say this after the match, all I can say is everyone will be pumped up for the match.is everyone will be pumped up for the match.
Waqar Salamkheil is the player of the match.
Deccan Gladiators beat Morrisville Samp Army by 28 runs!
Tom Kohler-Cadmore 36* (23) | Qais Ahmad 2-11 (2) Karim Janat 31 (14) | Waqar Salamkheil 3-6 (2)
So with that, we have the second finalists of the Abu Dhabi T10 2023. The Deccan Gladiators have put in a clinical show and have made their way to the summit clash scheduled for tomorrow night.
Earlier, Faf du Plessis won the toss and opted to field first. The Deccan Gladiators put in a good batting effort. While Tom Kohler-Cadmore (36* off 23) played the role of the stabiliser, Imad Wasim was particularly good lower down the order, and it was his 35 off 18 that helped the team reach a total of 117 runs at the end of their ten overs.
In the chase, the Samp Army never really got going. They lost Faf du Plessis in the very first over and, after that, never made it back. The Gladiators got them by the neck and never let the match slip from their grasp. Samp Army kept losing wickets, and at one stage, they were struggling at 24 for 5 in 4.1 overs. However, after this Andries Gous (28* off 17) and Karim Janat (31 off 14) tried to take the team close to the target. But that was not enough as they just managed to reach 89 for six at the end of their ten overs and lost the match by 28 runs.

9.6 Zahoor Khan to Andries Gous, Deccan Gladiators win by 28 runs to qualify for the final and they will play the mega clash against the New York Strikers. Short of a length delivery to end the match, pulled away straight to the deep midwicket fielder for a single.
9.5 Zahoor Khan to Bas de Leede, slower back of a length delivery well outside off, chopped away towards the cover region and takes a single.
9.5 Zahoor Khan to Bas de Leede, FOUR no ball! That was a full toss well over the waist, a tad outside off and that has been flayed away over the point region and it races away to the fence. Free-hit coming up but that wo't have a bearing in the final result.
9.4 Zahoor Khan to Andries Gous, fuller-length delivery a shade outside off, clubbed away flat down the ground, straight to the long on fielder and a single taken.
9.3 Zahoor Khan to Bas de Leede, fuller-length delivery angling into de Leede, flicked away towards the deep midwicket region and a single taken.
9.2 Zahoor Khan to Bas de Leede, slower back of a length delivery outside off, keeps a bit low and de Leede way too early into the attempted swipe across the line, gets beaten.
9.1 Zahoor Khan to Andries Gous, digs out the yorker-length delivery outside off, down towards the long-off region for a single.
Zahoor Khan, right-arm fast medium comes into the attack.
The result is now a foregone conclusion with 39 required off the final over. This has been a sensational bowling effort by the Deccan Gladiators.
