It was a clinical bowling performance from the Explorers. Pope struggled throughout and his presence only increased the burden for Kallicharan, who looked in good nick at the start but gradually slowed down after the halfway point. Govia controlled things at the start and Charles' spell only made things bad to worse for the Surfers. The pace of Isaac was too hot to handle as well at the back end

With this victory, the Explorers move to the top of the table, while the Surfers suffer their first defeat in this tournament. The bowlers did the job for them by restricting the opposition below 100 but the batters let them down but having said that, Charles' captaincy and his own bowling deserves a lot of credit. Batting reshuffle is needed from the Surfers' point of view from the next match as Pope doesn't looked in good touch
