Plovdiv tried their best to chase this total down and Zain Asif was instrumental in taking them close to the target. However, Asif departed on 49 and this left the onus entirely upon the other batters in the side, who could not quite step up to the plate.

This meant that the game had to be taken down to the final over of the match. Needing ten runs off the last two balls, Plovdiv could no longer pull it off. This game ended up going in favour of Bulgarian CC, and what a win it was! They were given a real threat when Asif started showcasing his true colours, but after his dismissal, things ended up being a real breeze.

Bulgarian CC will take this confidence into the next game that they play in the day, against MU Trakia a while from now. This was their second win of the day so far, and they will be surely hungry for more coming their way!
