Mohammad Rizwan [Multan Sultans captain]: Basically, in the three games we made totals in excess of 200, but the execution by the bowlers today put them under pressure. When we got the momentum, we never let it go. Usman Khan, too, did a fine job holding onto the momentum. If you look at it from last year, our bowlers are inexperienced. Hence I want to talk to them and when I do so, our fielders are a bit charged as well

Yasir Khan [Player of the Match, Multan Sultans]: I have worked hard for this day, and our team needed this innings. There is a lot of hard work behind working for these situations. When I came in the middle, I didn't face many issues. I play my shots like these. I know about my power, and it is better to play with my strengths than try other shots. I was waiting for my opportunity, and I was hoping my chance would come. The six against Shaheen was my favourite

Shaheen Afridi [Lahore Qalandars captain]: It was tough, the bowlers tried different deliveries but the ball was going onto the bat nicely. Credit to them as well, they played well. Yasir played a good knock on this platform, credit to him. We tried Mitchell in this game, still have six matches, we needed to give opportunities to as many people as possible. Our hopes are with everyone, that's why we are called the Qalandars. Rishad is bowling well, giving wickets at the right time, didn't get help off this wicket, which was flat. Hope he gets it in the upcoming games.

A big win for Multan Sultans. They have managed to register their second win of the season, and this win sees their home crowd charged up and enjoying their performance. A harsh lesson for Lahore Qalandars, who will be seething from this loss, which should have been comfortably won.

LQ had a good start with Fakhar Zaman, who started off nicely. However, wickets at regular intervals saw them slump to 87/4. Sam Billings and Sikandar Raza did put on a fight, but a lack of support for both batters during their stay in the middle meant that they eventually fell short and were faced with their second loss of the season.

Multan Sultans' bowlers managed to keep a tight lid on the scoring rate. Young Ubaid Shah made quite an impact, striking thrice in the innings and ensuring that Lahore never made it back after those quick strikes. Usama Mir and Michael Bracewell picked up two wickets each, while Josh Little and David Willey settled for a scalp respectively.
