Scott Edwards, Netherlands captain: The way our bowlers fought back towards the end. Especially with the way Aryan Dutt bowled at the end. After 10-15 overs, the wicket flattened out, it was about surviving the first few overs. A lot of these guys have played games early in the morning, when it's tough at the start. It can't be something that defines the game. When we were out there, we were having convos on how to get to the score.

Aaron Jones, United States of America captain: We could have taken some more wickets early on, which could have brought some pressure on their batters. 250 is a challenging score on this wicket. It's a case of being selective. Every batsman bats differently, need to put the loose ones away and knock it around for ones. If we had more wickets in hand towards the latter stages, we could have had a score close to 280. He should be okay, but quite a few guys have a bug right now. We play enough cricket to know that you win and lose some. It's about going back to the drawing board and being ready for the next game.

Scott Edwards, Player of the Match and captain of the Netherlands: Very happy to get a win. It was disappointing to lose the other day. When you get yourself in, especially during a low chase, you need to carry on, and luckily, I could do that. I am not bothered by which number I go in to bat. I just look to be busy and pick gaps and work as many singles and doubles as I can. It helps to have a few games under one's belt. Most of the times, it's alright for me to manage captaincy, keeping and batting.

While the finish to the game was smooth for the Netherlands, it seemed a lot, lot tougher when they lost Bas de Leede in the 22nd over! The Netherlands, bogged down by some tremendous bowling from the United States of America doubled with immense vocal pressure, were in desperate need of a concrete partnership. Teja Nidamanuru was joined by Scott Edwards, and right from the word go, the duo were at it, minimizing the number of dot deliveries by pinching quick runs between the wickets.

Having lost Vikramjit Singh in the fourth over of the chase, the Netherlands were heading towards stability with the help of Max O'Dowd and Wesley Barresi. There was an intense battle between Barresi and Ali Khan early on - Ali Khan looked to intimidate Barresi with some quick short stuff and glares after each delivery, but the experienced Dutchman was equally solid, seeing off the good deliveries and dispatching the poor ones.

Just when it seemed that the Netherlands had an advantage, they lost both their set batters to Jasdeep Singh. Jasdeep got the ball to tail back in, and trapped both O'Dowd and Barresi in front in quick succession. He and Nosthush Kenjige kept the squeeze on the Netherlands. Teja Nidamanuru and Bas de Leede just weren't able to move the score along, and when de Leede departed trying to up the ante, the United States of America felt that they were in with a solid chance.

That was when Scott Edwards joined Teja Nidamanuru. All of a sudden, there was a sense of the momentum shifting towards the men in orange, despite the lack of boundaries in the middle overs. Edwards and Nidamanuru were absolutely electric between the wickets throughout their partnership, they tinkered around with the field, and that had an effect on the USA players eventually. There was an increase in fielding lapses, and by the time the players went into a second drinks break in the innings, the Netherlands were well and truly in the driver's seat.

USA were able to break the stand right after the break. Unfortunately for them, they couldn't go deeper into the Netherlands lower order. Logan van Beek gave good company to his skipper as Edwards kept at it. Aaron Jones turned to his pacers, but that didn't have any effect either, and the Netherland were home and dry with plenty of time to spare eventually.

There it is! It wasn't a quick brace, but it was a sweep shot that sealed the deal!
