Jinnah Brescia beat Pak Lions Ghedi by 9 wickets!

Well 34 runs on the board was never going to be enough and with the form the Jinnah Brescia batsmen were in and coupled with some poor bowling, it proved to be a cakewalk for the Jinnah Brescia. Their openers, Nisar Ahmed and Janaka Wass came out all guns blazing as they went hammer and tongs right from the word 'go', taking the bowlers to the cleaners at will.

Nisar Ahmed departed for a well made 6-ball 12 before slicing one in the air, which was caught comfortably by the fielder at backward point but that did not hamper Janaka Wass as he continued striking the ball a mile. Finished with an unbeaten 7-ball 20 while Hassan Ahmad was more than happy to play second fiddle, knocking the ball around for a couple of singles from the two deliveries that he faced.

The bowlers could not get anything going their way and were unable to make full use of what the conditions had to offer. Banged it in when there was swing on offer and were rightfully punished by the batsmen. Muhammad Tayyab went for 19 runs in his over while Rizwan Zaman faced the music as well, being taken for 12 runs but snared a consolation wicket of Nisar Ahmed on the last ball of his over.

All in all, it was a comprehensive performance by Jinnah Brescia, who are once again favourites to lift the trophy after their victory in the last edition. They restricted the Lions to a paltry score of 34 runs and made short work of the target, chasing it down in half of their allotted quota.
2.4 Nithin Das to Janaka Wass, WIDE! JBCC win! Full-length delivery going down the legside, Das trespasses the legside wide line and the ball goes in the hands for the keeper. 2 in 2 for Jinnah Brescia CC as the beat Pak Lions Ghedi by 9 wickets
2.3 Nithin Das to Hassan Ahmed, full length delivery going down the legside, Ahmed taps the ball away on the legside to square leg for a single. Scores level.
2.2 Nithin Das to Janaka Wass, length delivery on the line of the middle and the off stump, Wass hits the ball past the bowler and the pair run across for a single
2.1 Nithin Das to Hassan Ahmed, full length delivery on the off stump, tapped away to the mid-off fielder for a single
Another mammoth over for the Jinnah Brescia as Janaka Wass is in an unforgiving mood, dispatching the bowlers into the rope at will! Smacks a boundary before turning over strike to Nisar Ahmed, who clobbers a maximum before throwing away his wicket going for the glory shot. Just the formalities remain now.

Jinnah Brescia need another 4 runs off the last 3 overs

1.6 Rizwan Zaman to Janaka Wass, full length delivery on the off stump, played away to the point region for a dot ball to end the over
Hassan Ahmed, left handed batsman, walks out to the crease!
1.5 Rizwan Zaman to Nisar Ahmed, CAUGHT! Length delivery on the line of the off stump, Ahmed hits the ball high in the air, with no timing and the fielder does well to settle under and take a good catch
1.4 Rizwan Zaman to Nisar Ahmed, SIX! Full length delivery on the line of the off stump, Ahmed hits the ball through the line and hits it past the bowlers head all the way for a maximum
1.3 Rizwan Zaman to Janaka Wass, Length delivery on the line of the middle and the off stump, Wass taps it away to the point region for a single
1.2 Rizwan Zaman to Janaka Wass, FOUR! Low full toss on the pads of the batsman, Wass plays the ball away on the legside and taps it to deep square leg for a boundary
1.1 Rizwan Zaman to Nisar Ahmed, full length delivery going down the legside, nudged past a diving mid-wicket fielder, who cannot collect it cleanly, for a single as the deep square leg fielder runs around and cuts it, keeping it down to a single.
Jinnah Brescia are off to a cracking start! The batsmen will make to look short work of this paltry total and they have laid the perfect foundation to do so. Nisar Ahmed started proceedings with an amazing boundary off the first ball of the second innings before Janaka Wass joined in on the action, clobbering a couple of boundaries and a maximum off the final three deliveries to collect 19 runs off the first!

Jinnah Brescia need another 16 runs from 4 overs at 4 RPO

0.6 Muhammad Tayyab to Janaka Wass, FOUR! Short and wide outside the off stump, Wass looks to get on top of the ball and hits the ball away to the deep point region and gets a boundary to end the over! That was too short and too wide, deserved to be punished!
0.5 Muhammad Tayyab to Janaka Wass, SIX! Full-length delivery, a tad too straight from Tayyab. Wass spots the length early and gives the ball a really good whack away on the legside for a maximum
0.4 Muhammad Tayyab to Janaka Wass, FOUR! Full-length delivery wide outside the off stump, Wass drives the ball really well. Threads the ball through the gap and it runs away to the ropes for a boundary
