Considering how West Indies played in the first match, it was supposed to be a close contest, but in stark contrast to everyone's expectation, the visitors failed to put on a strong show with the bat. This loss is hard to swallow for Nicholas Pooran and West Indies. And things only get difficult for them as they have to recover quickly from this brutal beating and face the same opposition at the same venue in two days time.

Babar Azam: The wicket was double-paced and I thought we were 15-20 runs short. We wanted to build partnerships and unfortunately, there was a run-out. We saved Khushdil in the end as everyone know what he can do at the back end. Nawaz bowled superbly and his breakthroughs were so important for us to cross the line
Nicholas Pooran: It was a tough day for us. We bowled very well in the first 45 overs and gave too many in the next five overs. May be 15-20 runs extra. The guys are inexperienced and we will learn from it. We can't get everything right, so we will learn with more games we play. Nawaz bowled extremely well, I know it's a challenging wicket but Nawaz keeps picking wickets. The batters didn't give a wicket. In the first game we put 200+ partnerships but today we couldn't do it
Player of the Match, Mohammad Nawaz: Today's pitch helped me. The main focus was to do the basics and bowl at the right places, the pitch would do the job. The way I got out, I had got the idea of how to bowl here. Yes, it was easier for finger spinner to bowl here because of the arm deliveries. Even Shadab managed to turn the ball well after the first couple of overs. I am glad that the team can trust me as an all rounder.

A commanding victory for the hosts as they dismantled West Indies by 120 runs to seal the series. Powerplay belongs to Pakistan and the rest belongs to Mohammad Nawaz as he bowled magnificently to cause the damage in the middle period and eventually registered his career-best figures of 10-0-19-4
The in-form Shai Hope was dismissed in the first over, but Mayers and Brooks took on the Pakistan seamers inside the powerplay and played some lovely shots. The boundaries were coming in every over, and at one point it seemed, the Pakistan bowlers had no clue on how to stop the run flow. But Mohammad Wasim Jr. stepped in and got rid of the dangerous Kyle Mayers in the 10th over.
Soon after, Babar was sensible in bowling the spinners from both ends after the powerplay and he was rewarded for his decision. Mohammad Nawaz removed Brandon King with a peach of a delivery and it seemed Brooks and Pooran were building a partnership. But instantly after the drinks break, Nawaz got the better of Brooks before getting Pooran and Powell in the same over, much to the delight of the crowd.
The pitch suddenly behaved like a subcontinent Day 5 Test match wicket as there was a lot of turn and bounce in every delivery and the West Indies tailenders found it hard to negotiate. In the end, Pakistan steamrolled West Indies and get another 10 World Cup Super League points.
