The cookie has crumbled for Trentino Aquila and they have lost rather convincingly to Panjab who win their fifth match in as many ones played as they solidify their position at the top of the points table.

119 was a chasable target but the Panjab bowlers never really let the batters off the hook. It all started with some exceptional swing bowling from Amninder and Gurdip who finished with identical figures of 2/9 in their quota of overs and broke the back of the run chase.

Wickets kept tumbling throughout the innings as every bowler who bowled who at least one wicket to his name and it looked at one stage like Panjab will take all 4 points from this encounter, But then, Trentinio showed some fight. Thanks largely to a powerful cameo from Saqib , they got the onbe point out of this contest but fell way short in the end.

In the first innings, Panjab had got to what seemed like a middling total of 118 and the game seemed nicely in balance at that point of time. Trentino were good with the total led by Atif Raza's 2/9 but they leaked a few runs extra at the backend and that is what propelled Panjab from what would have been an under par-total to a par one.

Sukhwinder Singh played a handy cameo of 26* off 12 balls at the end and the opener Jorawar was the highest run-getter with a 28-run knock for Panjab.
