Thanks for joining us- Soumarya Dutta and Mohul Bhowmick- for this exciting but rather lopsided game in the ECS! Until next time, ciao!
Punjab CC Amadora beat Friendship CC by 8 wickets!
Mohammad Asaduzzaman 41 (18) | Syed Ali Naqi 2/19 Rana Sarwar 37 (13) | Parveen Singh 1/12
Punjab CC started the innings off in a flash, and made sure that the game got over within no time at all. Their openers Rao Imran and Rana Sarwar seemed like they were in a hurry to finish this game, and their extravagant strokeplay showcased their intentions.
Friendship CC were taken aback by the flurry of shots that were thrown their way, and one cannot help but feel sad for the way they capitulated in front of their much-vaunted opponents. Punjab CC deserve this win thoroughly as they were the better side today, and a lot of credit needs to go to Sarwar and Imran for setting this win up for their side.
Skipper Imran will be pleased with this performance of his side, and hope that they carry on in the competition. For Friendship CC, despite Sabbir Hussain's showing with the ball, they could not quite capitalise on the chances that came their way. They will learn a lot from this match.
9.0
8.1 Riasat Sourav to Parveen Singh, WIDE! A real anti climax in the end as Sourav bowls a wide ball and the Punjab CC have got home here with 8 wickets and two overs to spare.

7.6 Sabbir Hussain to Parveen Singh, FOUR! It was on the pads and the batter worked it away over the fine leg fielder for a boundary. Scores are tied now!
7.5 Sabbir Hussain to Umar Muhammad, full and on the stumps this time, hit down to long off for a single.
7.4 Sabbir Hussain to Umar Muhammad, SIX! In the slot again and Umar clears his feet and smashes it over square leg for a MAXIMO.
7.3 Sabbir Hussain to Umar Muhammad, short this time and Umar gets on the back foot and cuts away for a couple of runs.
7.2 Sabbir Hussain to Umar Muhammad, full and outside the off stump from the bowler! It's a swing and a miss.
7.1 Sabbir Hussain to Umar Muhammad, FOUR! it was an ugly full toss from the bowler and Umar just crouched on his knees and worked it away for a boundary over fine leg.
Sabbir Hussain [1-0-10-1] comes back into the attack.
The game looks all but over for Friendship CC, and they will have to play out of their skins to prevent their opponents from running away with it.

6.1 Riasat Sourav to Umar Muhammad, outside the off stump and it was hit straight to long off where the fielder dropped it. They take a single.
Riasat Sourav, right arm medium, comes into the attack.
There seems to be a slight drizzle at the ground, but Punjab CC are racing away towards the total they are chasing. Punjab CC need to add some spin into this attack to stop the flow of runs.
