That wraps it for this match, but our coverage of ECS Portugal 2024 continues. Head to the Fighters CC vs Lisbon Werewolves tab for the next match. It was Darpan Tikiya and Soumarya Dutta bringing you the ball by ball commentary for this match.
Ronin CC will go back wondering where did it go wrong for them. They did come into this match as the underdogs against Oeiras - who are undefeated in this series, yet. However, they did push the opposition at various points in the game.
Oeiras, though, delineated the depth they have in both the departments. Their batting recovered from the miserly returns of the top order to get to a decent score of 137/6. And then, their bowlers did well too to restrict Ronin CC to under 100.
In fact, at one point, it seemed as if Ronin CC might not even win a point out of this match. They eventually ended up getting 3 more runs than the 96 that were required for the same. Oeiras could perhaps look at the penultimate over bowled by Francoise Stoman where 4 wide balls were conceded. Though, given their dominant position in the points table, there is a good chance that they won't fret it.

Ujjval Kansal, RHB, is the new batter.
A comedy of errors. First up, the fielder failed to settle underneath that skied up shot. He then, not only spilled the catch but also fumbled a couple of times before he could pick the ball up. But fortunately for him, lazy running by the batters has resulted in a runout.
9.2 Miguel Stoman to Navendu Sinha, RUN OUT!! Dhillon goes! It was bowled outside off stump and full. Sinha hit it aerially over cover. They tried to go for the second run and Dhillon fell short at the non strikers end.
Gurjant Dhillon run out (Francoise Stoman/Miguel Stoman) 3 (3b, 0x4, 0x6)
9.1 Miguel Stoman to Gurjant Dhillon, full and around off stump. Dhillon lofts it over cover for a single.
It will be the elder brother - Miguel Stoman [1-0-9-0] to bowl the final over of the match. Navendu Sinha, RHB, is the new batter but he is at the non-striker's end currently.
That was a looooonnng over from Francoise Stoman. But he ends up picking two wickets in it. Now, Ronin CC need 5 runs off the last over to avoid conceding the bonus point.
