So, Einheit Halle win this match by 8 runs and have booked their berth in the playoffs. Viktoria were already qualifiedmand won't be that dissappointed with these two lossed today.
Halle would be extremely proud of their bowling attack. They started off poorly but got back on track at crucial stages of the game. Sharifi would be dissapointed as 3 catches were dropped off in his first over. Poor fielding up front but they made up for it gradually. Pavan Kumar, Abdullah Daulatzai and Abas Talib got a wicket each against their name. Safi Khan and Sharifi did not get a wicket but were economical. It was a group effort to defend this total. The batsmen did a fantastic job to score 105 runs in the first innings.
You have got to feel bad for Zaheed Mahmood. The guy gave his heart and soul in this chase. Only if he was supported well by the batsmen at the other end, he could have won this game for Viktoria. HALLE REACH THE QUARTER FINALS. Not taking anything away from Halle, they were magnificieant in this game, Held their nerves and kept toiling hard. They kept the lid on the scoring rate in the middle overs and that's what helped them defend this par total. Chasing 105 was always going to be tricky. Halle did chase 101 in 7.3 overs in the previous match! Viktoria would be unhappy with their intent in the middle overs. They had a perfect start, 24 runs in 2 overs. But the 3rd over changed the momentum. After the fall of Usman HAdi, Viktoria slowed down gradually. Mahmood scored 40 runs in 22 balls and was the highest scorer from Viktoria.
