That brings us to the end of our coverage of the Tamil Nadu Premier League for the day. We will be back with more of the same tomorrow - IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans take on the Dindigul Dragons in the evening. Keep an eye on our tabs for our coverage of the same, and a lot more! This is Rajarshi, signing off on behalf of Pradeep. Good night!
P Saravanan has been adjudged the Player Of The Match for his spell of 3/23 in four overs.
Suresh Lokeshwar: We needed this win, going into the tournament, three wins a trot will give us a lot of confidence. All I wanted to do is, play to my strengths, according to the team situation. The wicket was a bit sticky, bowlers made use of it and well supported by the fielders. We do spend a lot of time working on the fielding, the more we put in the effort and the results are there to see.
Match summary:
Siechem Madurai Panthers win by 7 wickets with 18 balls to spare
Suresh Lokeshwar 32(39) | P Saravanan 3/23 (4) K Mani Bharathi 48(40) | K Easwaran 2/24 (4)
It took them ages to get past the target, but they got there with some time to spare! The wicket slowed down drastically as the game progressed, but the lack of intent and aggression shown by the SMP batters didn't have too many admirers. Their own coach was in disapproval of his team taking the game so deep, as evident from his facial expressions.
Suresh Lokeshwar and Hari Nishaanth started off rather cautiously. It wasn't until the 4th over that we saw the boundaries starting to flow - Hari Nishaanth looked to press on the accelerator. However, his innings was cut short soon after, when Natarajan surprised him with a sharp short delivery, and the left-hander spooned a catch towards third man.
There were a few more boundaries as the powerplay drew to a close, but post that, it was a real drag. Jagatheesan Kousik and Lokeshwar took their own, sweet time, pinched the ones and twos, and kept the score moving along. Both of them chose the wrong deliveries to attack and perished. With Swapnil Singh and Washington Sundar out there, one could have expected the game to end soon, but the duo, too, went on to take the game deep.
Eventually, once Sundar cleared the boundary off Raju, the floodgates opened, and then Swapnil went on to finish the game within an over. Ba11sy Trichy's run in the tournament officially comes to an end with this defeat. It was on the cards all along, with the kind of cricket they have played so far.

16.6 G Godson to Swapnil Singh, SIX! GAME, SET AND MATCH! Panthers took time but they finished the game in style and now make it three in three here and have knocked Ba11sy Trichy out of the tournament here. Short and outside the off-stump, Swapnil camps back and POWERED it way over long-off to seal the deal.
16.5 G Godson to Swapnil Singh, short and goes just inside the tramline, Swapnil leans but decides to let it go.
16.4 G Godson to Swapnil Singh, drags it short and outside the off-stump, Swapnil flat batted it down to long-off but they don't take the single.
16.3 G Godson to Swapnil Singh, SIX! BOOM! Where was this Swapnil all this while? What a shot that. Short on the stumps, Swapnil picks the length too early and SMOKES it way over deep mid-wicket fence for a maximum this time.
16.2 G Godson to Swapnil Singh, FOUR! Finally Swapnil gets into the act. Walks across off-stump, sits on one knee and hammered it behind square, goes one bounce into the ropes for a boundary.
16.1 G Godson to Washington Sundar, angled the length delivery on the pads, Sundar clipped it behind square for one.
G Godson (2-0-7-0) is back into the attack
First signs of aggression from Sundar with the bat! He finally decided to take on the loopy leggies from Raju, and got hold of one!

15.6 Ganga Sridhar Raju to Washington Sundar, length delivery on the off-stump, Sundar smacked it back past the bowler for just one.
One member in the crowd has got hold of the ball, and is mobbed by his mates, they take a selfie together with the ball!
15.5 Ganga Sridhar Raju to Washington Sundar, SIX! Finally intent from Sundar to go big. Sits on one knee and DISPATCHED it way over deep mid-wicket fence for a huge maximum.
15.4 Ganga Sridhar Raju to Washington Sundar, good length on the stumps, Sundar lunges to defend it back to the bowler
15.3 Ganga Sridhar Raju to Swapnil Singh, MISSING STUMPING CHANCE! That was sloppy from the keeper, doesn't grab that one at all. Length delivery on the middle and leg. Swapnil skips down the track to play a big shot and misses, brushes the pad and goes past the keeper
15.2 Ganga Sridhar Raju to Washington Sundar, drags it short and wide of off-stump. Sundar waits and cuts it to deep covers for one.
