Suzie Bates (Falcons Women Captain): We are extremely with how we played today. The bowlers did a wonderful job to restrict them (Sapphires Women) to an easy target. Chamari played an exceptional knock. We needed this win and will look to carry forward this momentum in our upcoming matches

Sana Mir (Sapphires Women captain): The powerplay you have to bowl really well, the batters didn't click on and in the middle overs we lacked getting runs, we got the finish we needed at the end but Chamari was too good. We've seen 120 or 130 was defended but you need wickets up front but we didn't capitalize on that.

In the end, it was a one-sided contest as FAL-W outclass SCS-W by 9 wickets to take home the match. After a superb bowling display, Chamari Athapaththu and Suzie Bates powered them to a confident win.

Chasing 132, FAL-W got off to a steady start but lost Danni Wyatt cheaply for 4. While SCS-W saw a brief moment of inspiration, they could not further capitalize on it as the pair of Chamari and Suzie scripted a match-winning 86 runs stand.

A crucial win for the FAL-W to remain in hunt for the playoffs as they collect two more points and take their tally to four in as many matches. SCS-W slump to their third defeat in four matches and will remain in the second last place.
