Rashid Khan, Afghanistan Captain- Credit goes to UAE for putting up a great fight and it's really pleasing as a captain to end up on the winning side. We know Waseem is a big hitter and we had our plans in place to him. Credit goes to Karim and Ibrahim for the way they played especially Karim who went for the big hits right from the word go.

CP Rizwan, UAE captain - Starting with the batting we were in the game. We had a great start and we were in the second innings till the 14th over and credit to Karim Janat, who played some extraordinary shots. He took the game away from us and I can't really blame my bowlers who did try really hard.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz: Congratulations everyone, to the cricket fans. Honestly, not happy with my batting. The way Karim finished the game was amazing. Credits goes the bowling side, they put in a good effort. Unfortunately they didn't get home, but credit to them. Honestly that was hard, but the way Karim played, he made it easy. He can do anything at the moment, he is amazing. Honestly yes, did not expect much from them (UAE). But they have improved so much, the way they batted, bowled and fielded. The next time we have a series against them, we should be more careful.

What an astounding win for Afghanistan here! They looked down and out at the half way stage when the required run rate was climbing up but Karim Janat played one heck of an innings to take them home and they got there comfortably in the end. Ibrahim Zadran gave him good company as he anchored the chase for the major part and accelerated timely to get his team out of trouble.

It wasn't easy sailing for the Afghans as they were behind for the majority of the game. At one stage , Gulbadin, Zazai and Najibullah went in quick succession due to the pressure of the run rate and the writing seemed to be on the wall for them. However the inexperience of the UAE bowlers told big time and some captaincy blunders from Rizwan like giving the 16th over to Mustafa cost them the game in the end.

Zahoor Khan bowled exceptionally well for UAE and got the two key wickets of Afsar Zazai and Rahmanullah Gurbaz. Zawar Farid was good early on too and he got the ball to move around and talk, getting the wicke of Gulbadin Naib in the process. However they lost their lines and lengths at the death when Karim Janat began to attack. They failed to get the yorkers and slower balls and it's something that they will be looking back at looking to improve on.
