Sindhu Sriharsha (Warriors' skipper)- "Phoebe was the star and she showed why she is the best in business. The bowlers also did a brilliant job to restrict the opposition to an easy target. We are extremely happy to get off to a winning note and look forward to carrying the momentum in the upcoming games."

Sana Mir (South Coast Sapphires' skipper): Credit to the Warriors they played really well, especially Phoebe. We started off well with the bat but we could not capitalize. The toss was crucial but we cannot blame it, especially since we got a good start. I think we did not bowl in the right areas as well and there are a few areas where we need to improve.

Phoebe Litchfield (Player of the Match): I think it was quite difficult to start off, the ball was moving but a couple of boundaries initially helped me get going. There was no strategy to take on a particular bowler, just that our start gave me the confidence to continue with the same intent.

A thrilling match but in the end, it turned out to be a one-sided contest as Phoebe Litchfield single-handedly propelled WAR-W to an easy win. Chasing 112 runs, WAR-W dominated the proceedings throughout while SCS-W could find only sporadic opportunities to make any inroads.

After losing opener Haley Matthews cheaply, Phoebel Litchfield ensured to hold onto her fort while WAR-W lost another quick wicket from the other end. Unfazed by the breakthrough, Litchfield gave a sheer testament of her prowess with a quickfire half-century to take the contest away from the hands of SCS-W. The Aussie was eventually run out on 77, but not before causing enough carnage and potentially winning the match for her team.

For SCS-W, Katherine Sciver-Brunt and Erin Burns could find one wicket apiece as no other bowlers in the roster managed to find a breakthrough.

With the win, WAR-W pick up two points while SCS-W will have to wait to get their first points on the table.
