Nottinghamshire win by 1 run (DLS method)
Worcestershire 141/6 (20 overs) Adam Hose - 43 (35) | Calvin Harrison 2/22
It is a DRAMATIC FINISH! Though, not in the way you thought. On a surface where boundaries had been hard to get, against a bowler who had scalped two wickets in 7 balls, a batter who was struggling for runs through the season decided to flip the switch and whack him for two sixes. That description is perhaps enough to give an insight into what a smart, talented and experienced cricketer Alex Hales is.
He was watchful to start off. With the new ball moving around, he had curbed his natural, explosive instincts and grafted the innings out. However, as soon as he realised that it was getting dark and his team was behind on the DLS par, Hales unfurled the slog sweep and followed it up with another six two balls later. That followed by a the good 'ol tactic of having some water and a change of gloves between the overs, ensured that despite Nathan Smith's miserly over that followed, Nottinghamshire were ahead when umpires called the cricketers off. Ahead by only a run. But that is all that mattered.
Worcestershire would go back with a few questions to ponder upon. The intent from their top order was not as affirmative as the modern T20 demands. While, their bowlers bowled well. The decision to hold back Hayden Walsh and bowl two part time spinners before him was a questionable one and potentially, the match changing one.
Nottinghamshire, on the other hand, will breathe a sigh of relief as after 5 consecutive losses, they finally put a 'W' against their names.

8:00 pm local time (12:30 am IST) - Update: Play stopped due to rain.
The umpires have taken the players off the field and the covers have been brought on. It is a light drizzle at the moment. However, the issue is that it has gotten really dark and there are no floodlights at this venue. The important thing is that Nottinghamshire are 100/3. The DLS par score is 99. Hence, if there is no further play, Nottinghamshire would win.
Oh oh!! The umpires have stopped the play and the players are walking off. Not only has it gotten very dark, it has also just started to drizzle a bit.
Tom Taylor is back into the attack.
Nathan Smith gets through his four overs without conceding a single boundary. After 15 overs, at three wickets down, the DLS Par score is 99. Nottinghamshire are 100/3. They need 42 runs more to win off 30 balls.
