FULL TIME! Bengal Warriors 32 - 41 Gujarat Giants

A terrific performance from the Gujarat Giants and they ensure that Bengal Warriors do not get the dream start that they wanted in the Kolkata leg. It was the defense of the Warriors that proved to be their undoing as they allowed the Giants' raiders to put in one Super Raid after another. Parteek and Rakesh with Super 10s each and they have ensured that the Giants go past the finish line, along with some terrific tackles courtesy of Fazel Atrachali. It has been a terrific showing from the Giants and they will be mighty pleased with how they have gone about their business. The Warriors were on the back-foot after they conceded an all out early in the half. However, they fought back well to inflict an all out. Post that though, it was the Giants all along as they ran away with the game. As a result of this match, Dabang Delhi qualify for the playoffs! 

40' Nitin Kumar tries a bonus and as soon as he does that, Deepak runs around from the covers and dashes him out.

Do-or-die raid for the Giants and Rakesh strikes! Escapes from the left corner's attempted ankle hold following which he also sends back Jaskirat Singh. Maninder Singh, on the other side, gets a running hand touch on the cover defender of the Giants.

Maninder Singh gets a point as one of the Giants defenders stands advance and pushes the raider back. Finally, Parteek runs down the clock and returns.

32' Fazel Atrachali strikes in raiding! He's allowed the bonus point following which he escapes from Harsh Lad's ankle hold and escapes. Oh wow! On the other side, Nitin Kumar escapes from Fazel's attempted ankle hold and returns.

ALL OUT! Deepak is allowed the bonus point as the defense hangs back following which a diving double ankle hold from Akshay Kumar and instant assistance from the covers pins the raider down.

Bengal Warriors 26 - 33 Gujarat Giants

30' Maninder Singh goes deep and gets a kick on Nabibakhsh in the right corner. Giants are down to two men now! Rakesh is allowed the bonus point as the Warriors' defense hangs back.

Nitin Kumar leaps over the right corner Manuj's attempted double thigh hold and returns with a point. The deficit is down to eight points and the Giants are down to one man!

Bengal Warriors 22 - 30 Gujarat Giants

28' Maninder Singh tumbles and escapes from Sombir's attempted ankle hold. Dragged himself back to the mid-line. Do-or-die raid for the Giants on the other side and Rakesh strikes! Dives through the air and gets a hand touch on Vaibhav Garje.

Parteek Dahiya attempts a surprise double thigh hold but Nitin Kumar is alert enough as he turns and escapes in a flash. Oh wow! Rakesh picks up a bonus point in front of the left corner defender. 

Bengal Warriors 20 - 29 Gujarat Giants

26' Parteek Dahiya is finally brought down! And just centimetres inside the mid-line! The covers combine and run around with a chain to dash him out. Parteek had his hand on the mid-line but could not cross it!

Do-or-die raid for the Warriors and Nitin Kumar strikes! Pushes aside the incoming dashing defender Deepak while Balaji cannot get grip with his back hold. Nitin breaks through them and returns victorious!

Bengal Warriors 18 - 27 Gujarat Giants

24' Parteek Dahiya pushes aside the incoming defender - Jaskirat - and reduces the Warriors down to one man. 

ALL OUT! R Guhan has been substituted in for it. He picks up a bonus point following which he runs around for a hand touch. Gets the touch on Sombir. A dash from the cover defender - Balaji - sees him get dashed out. Guhan flies through the air but has his right hand out of bounds while he crossed the mid-line. Bengal Warriors review! However, replays confirm that Guhan's hand did come from out of bounds. Review unsuccessful! 

An attempted ankle hold from Akshay Kumar but Rakesh tumbles and drags himself back to the mid-line.

Bengal Warriors 15 - 27 Gujarat Giants

22' SUPER RAID! Parteek Dahiya is simply unstoppable today! The right cover runs around with a block but Parteek leaps over him and escapes. There is a host of other defenders who run around for assistance but Parteek absolutely bulldozes back to the mid-line. Seemed to be more points there. Gujarat Giants review! Shubham Shinde and Harsh Lad, who had come for assistance, are definitely out along with Vaibhav Garje. Akshay Kumar and Jaskirat Singh did have contact but after the mid-line was crossed. That is some terrific officiating from the umpires.

A diving double thigh hold from the right-in player - Parteek Dahiya - and Nitin Kumar is taken by surprise. Instant assistance brings the raider down.

HALF TIME! Gujarat Giants 18 - 14 Bengal Warriors

A terrific first half and there has been no shortage of action and entertainment. The Bengal Warriors made a good start to the contest but it was Parteek Dahiya's turn to be the Super Sub as he came out all guns blazing and collected points at will with two super raids. An all out was inflicted on the Warriors but they have played some good kabaddi, ensuring that the deficit is not a big one. It will be up to Nitin Kumar and the defense to do the majority of the damage. Promises to be a thrilling finish! Stay tuned! 

20' Do-or-die raid for the Giants and Rakesh perishes! As soon as he tries a bonus point, the right-in defender Harsh Lad puts in an ankle hold. A decisive dash from Vaibhav Garje and that sends Rakesh packing!

Do-or-die raid for the Warriors and Maninder Singh comes in facing a defense of three. And it is a SUPER TACKLE! A diving double thigh hold from the right corner defender Sombir while some assistance from Fazel Atrachali brings him down.

18' Nitin Kumar snaps up a bonus point. On the other side, an ankle hold from the left corner combined with assistance from the right corner chain brings Parteek Dahiya down.

Nitin Kumar pulling matters back! Deepak Singh runs around with a dash after he gets a kick on Rohit Gulia. However, Nitin smartly manoeuvres himself and escapes him after a short wrestle and returns.

14' An audacious back hold from Fazel Atrachali and it is Maninder Singh who is completely immobilised!

A running toe touch from Nitin Kumar and he sends back Nabibakhsh, who was manning the covers.

SUPER RAID! Another big, big raid by Parteek Dahiya! He escapes from the left corner Akshay Kumar's ankle hold. Gets Shubham and Vaibhav on the way back too, who had come for assistance. Not good signs for the Warriors.

Gujarat Giants 16 - 9 Bengal Warriors

12' Parteek Dahiya puts in a kick and makes contact on the left corner too. Bengal Warriors down to one man!

ALL OUT! Vishwas S is substituted in for the raid. He is allowed the bonus but immediately after, a terrific ankle hold from Fazel Atrachali brings him down! The Giants with a big lead now.

Rohit Gulia is pinned down! Jaskirat Singh runs around with a dash along with Vaibhav Garje while assistance from Shubham Shinde brings him down.

10' Do-or-die raid for the Giants and Parteek Dahiya strikes! SUPER RAID! Parteek gets a kick on the left corner. Jaskirat and Vaibhav Garje runs around for a dash while Parteek Dahiya crosses the mid-line with perhaps just some part of his body inside the lobby. Three points awarded to the Giants and they make a big comeback!

Do-or-die raid for the Warriors and Maninder Singh is tackled! He goes deep and an ankle hold from Fazel sends back his counterpart.

6' A diving ankle hold from Akshay Kumar from the right corner and Rakesh is trapped. He collapses on the ground.

Shubham Shinde runs around while Rohit Gulia is running the other way. By the time Rohit turns, there is no way out as he is surrounded by defenders.

A solid diving ankle hold from Fazel Atrachali and Nitin Kumar fails to escape from it.

Gujarat Giants 4 - 6 Bengal Warriors

4' Do-or-die raid for the Giants and Rohit Gulia strikes! A clever toe-touch and he sends back Harsh Lad from the right-in position. He's been awarded the bonus as well.

Do-or-die raid on the other side for the Warriors as well and Maninder Singh returns the favour! Escapes from the right cover's attempted advance dash and escapes.

Rakesh sends back Vaibhav Garje with a quick touch. On the other side, Nitin Kumar snaps up a bonus point.

2' Mighty Maninder up and running immediately! Sombir runs around for a dash while Maninder absolutely ploughs through him. Pushes Sombir over the mid-line and also turns to use his legs to cross the mid-line. Gets another touch on one of the assisting defenders.

Hello and welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of the Pro Kabaddi League, 2023. Action shifts to Kolkata and the Bengal Warriors will be eyeing a strong start to their home leg as they take on the Gujarat Giants at the Netaji Indoor Stadium, Kolkata. 

The Bengal Warriors have had a very topsy-turvy campaign. They made a terrific start but fell off after that as injuries plagued the team. However, with a rejuvenated spirit, the Warriors have four crucial matches lined-up at home. Despite not being in a position in the points table that they would have wanted, they have the opportunity to turn their fortunes around. 

The Warriors are not on the brink of elimination but will need to play some good kabaddi to ensure that they do not reach that stage.
