FULL TIME! Jaipur Pink Panthers 28 - 28 Bengal Warriors

Oh what a game of kabaddi we have been treated to! It had drama, excitement and action but in the end, it ends in a tie. Quite fittingly as well, with neither the defending champions nor the Season 7 champions willing to back down. It was a tussle between the defences and was largely played on the do-or-die raid. 

The Warriors made a great comeback in the second half to inflict an all out and level the score. From there on, it was an intense battle between the two sides as they continued trading blows. The lead shifted hands and it never seemed to last too long with either team.

In the end, it was a jersey pull by Arjun Deshwal which saw him being awarded the yellow card and being suspended, shortly after he suffered from an injury scare on his shoulder. it was Maninder who went in with three of the Pink Panthers' defenders on court and the Warriors' skipper decided to settle for a tie. Well, the Warriors remain unbeaten in this contest while the Pink Panthers continue to be win-less. Both teams will share the spoils and take 3 points away from this contest.

32' Another multi-point raid for Shrikant Jadhav! Sahul Kumar puts in an ankle hold from the left corner and Sunil comes for assistance. However, Shrikant tumbles and crosses the mid-line.

After having taken the lead initially, the Pink Panthers squandered it as Bengal made a comeback to assume the lead. The Pink Panthers were reduced down to just three men but it was their Super Tackles which have kept them in the contest and given them this commanding position. 

Ankush emerging to be the hero as he gets his first points this season. A couple of super tackles to his name and he's one point away from a high five. The Warriors have just failed to get the job done after reducing the Pink Panthers down to three men on multiple occasions. They will be wanting to make sure that they make a strong comeback in the second half and find a way to convert these moments into all outs.

16' Do-or-die raid for the Bengal Warriors but Maninder Singh is tackled! SUPER TACKLE! Ankush from the left corner puts in a solid ankle hold and Maninder failed to escape from that.

Hello and welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of the Pro Kabaddi League, 2023. After nearly a week of scintillating action, we have arrived at the last day here at the EKA Arena by TransStadia in Ahmedabad, where it will be the Bengal Warriors locking horns with the Jaipur Pink Panthers in the first match of the night. 

The Bengal Warriors have gotten off the mark in the points table by edging past the Bengaluru Bulls in their opening match. It was Maninder Singh once again who stepped up and scored big in the raiding but the limelight was deservedly diverted towards right corner defender Shubham Shinde, who put in one tackle after another and kept Bharat quiet. 

Shubham, along with his brother Aditya Shinde in the left corner, ensured that the Bulls' raiders did not get too many points on the trot, and with a tackle in the dying moments of the game, sealed it for the Warriors. The defense of the Warriors is working like a well-oiled unit and will be looking to continue with the same energy in today's encounter as well. As for the raiding, Maninder and Shrikanth Jadhav will share the responsibilities but they will perhaps give some other raiders on the bench a go as well. 

Defending champions Jaipur Pink Panthers, on the other hand, did not get off to the best of starts this season. In a replay of the Season 9 final, they went down fighting to the Puneri Paltan. They squandered their lead and ended up paying the price, and a young Pune outfit outplayed them. 

Arjun Deshwal was the lone warrior for them, pocketing 17 points but lacked support from any other raider, with the likes of Ajith Kumar and Rahul Chaudhari struggling. Ankush and Reza Mirbagheri were kept out of the game and were not allowed to pick a single point in the defense and the duo will surely be hungry for points today.
