FULL TIME!

Bengal Warriors 36-40 U.P. Yoddha

A comprehensive showing from the U.P. Yoddha in the second half and they rightfully finish on top in this contest. They inflicted the all-out in the second half and after that, never looked back as they assumed the lead. The Warriors gave it their all but the same story repeated for them yet again as the defence just did not arrive to the party. A 19-point run fest from Maninder Singh but once again the Warriors finish on the losing side when Maninder gets a Super 10. A poor game for Nabibakhsh and the defence in the second half. Not a single Super 10 for U.P. as Surinder Gill and Pardeep Narwal finished with 9 points apiece but it was their defence who stole the limelight. Powerful tackles and they rightly secure a 4-point victory in the end to regain fourth spot in the points table.
40' Do-or-die raid for U.P. Yoddha and Pardeep Narwal kills the clock before making his way back to his half without a point. A point awarded to Bengal but it will not matter in the grand scheme of things as U.P. edge past the Warriors by 4 points.

HALF TIME!

Bengal Warriors 18-19 U.P. Yoddha

A high-octane clash so far and it is the Yoddha who have a slender 1-point lead going into the second half. The Warriors seemed to be in trouble after they were reduced to just one mad on multiple occasions but Kumavat and Hegde combined and delayed the all-out for as long as they could. It has been Maninder Singh and Sukesh Hegde who have picked up 6 points apiece while the defence will look to contribute more. For UP, the defence has come good and they are a brilliant cohesive unit which is sending Maninder Singh to the bench constantly. An interesting second half awaits us. Which side will edge past the other? Are we in for another tie? All shall be answered in due course of time! Stick around!

Right then, the defending champions, Bengal Warriors, broke into the top-six after they narrowly edged past the Bengaluru Bulls by a solitary point in yesterday's encounter. They have leaped over the U.P. Yoddha and now stand fourth with 35 points to their name from four encounters. A win here by a big margin might just see them break into the top-3 and that is something that the Warriors will certainly be hoping for. All hopes will be pinned on Maninder Singh yet again as he will lead the raiding attack. Nabibakhsh is expected to play a crucial role as well while the defence, post the return of Ran Singh, has borne a formidable look. However, the Warriors might consider replacing Abozar Mighani with Vittala as the Iranian has been guilty of leaking points in the right corner.

The U.P. Yoddha, on the other hand, will be looking to earn their fourth spot back. hey have 33 points from 11 encounters and are currently placed fifth. The Yoddha have been unbeaten for the past four games and will be looking to extend that streak to five tonight. They come into this contest on the back of a confidence-boosting 10-point win over the Puneri Paltan, in a game that was dominated by the raiders. Pardeep Narwal, Shrikant Jadhav and Surinder Gill will once again be looking to make an impact in this contest while the defence has been on point as well. All-in-all, the Yoddha are a well-balanced unit and will certainly possess a threat to the Warriors in this contest.
