A comprehensive win for the Puneri Paltan and they have enthralled a packed Balewadi Stadium! It was the raiding that did the job for them while the defense stepped up and put up a show as well. Skipper Aslam returned with 10 points while Mohit Goyat starred with 12 points. Shadloui and Gaurav Khatri both scored High 5s which propelled them to a win. The second half was not much to write home about for the Warriors, as they conceded more all outs and their deficit increased. A clinical showing by the Paltan and they move up in the points table while the Warriors face their first loss of PKL 10 and their unbeaten streak is broken! 

40' ALL OUT! A surrender raid once again for Aslam as the last remaining defender pushes him past the mid-line. Immediately after, a strong ankle hold from Gaurav Khatri gets the better Shrikant Jadhav!

The main headline of the half has been that Bengal Warriors have just not been able to capitalise on chances. Pune were reduced down to three and two men multiple times but the Warriors have failed to inflict the all out. They have allowed super raids and consecutive super tackles which have allowed them to make a comeback. The Pune team got off to a good start and the Warriors have been playing catch-up for the entirety of the first half. In front of a roaring Pune crowd, the Warriors are falling just short. Aslam Inamdar has starred for the Paltan and has raced to 9 points already in this match. Maninder Singh has tried his best to keep the Warriors' ship afloat but has largely lacked support in both raiding and defense. The Warriors will be hoping for a much better showing in the second half while Pune aims to increase the lead even further!

20' Do-or-die raid for the Paltan and Mohit Goyat has been sent in for it this time. He picks up pace and unsettles the defense. Puts in a dubki through the chain of Shubham Shinde and the right-in defender and seems to have gotten his hand on the mid-line if not beyond it. The umpire's adjudge it to be one point and Shubham Shinde has to depart as he was involved in some jersey pulling there. Gets awarded a green card too!

Hey ya! Welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of Pro Kabaddi League 2023. We are now in the Day 2 of the Pune leg. Puneri Paltan will take on Bengal Warriors in the 25th game of the season.

The first day saw two close encounters and fans can expect another rollercoaster of a day.  The home side Puneri Paltan suffered their first defeat of the season. It came against Haryana Steelers who emerged victorious 39-44. Pune had a decent game overall but hit some roadblocks that saw them lose. However, we can expect a comeback from the hosts who will be eyeing their third win of the season. 

Meanwhile, the Bengal Warriors have got off to a flying start to their PKL 2023 season. They stand at the top spot with three wins and a draw in four outings without a single defeat. Maninder Singh, as expected has been the face of the raiding department whereas Shubham Shinde has been exceptional at the Right Corner.
