FULL TIME! Tamil Thalaivas 39-31 Telugu Titans

In a match where the Titans were leading for a substantial part of the game, it is perplexing to see them return from the game without managing to pick up a single point. And it is all courtesy of the freak show put on by Ajinkya Pawar, picking up a 6-point raid in the dying moments of the game. Mind you, the six points did not include any extras and were six defenders who had been dismissed. That magical moment will go down as one of the best in Pro Kabaddi history and it just shows how the raiders must never give up until the whistle is actually blown. Whew! We certainly need to catch our breaths after what has unravelled there, don't we? Well, luck has just not been on the Titans' side and they lose yet another match - although one where they looked far more convincing. As for the Thalaivas, their dream run under coach Ashan Kumar continues! 

40' Siddharth Desai comes in for the final raid for the match and it is M Abishek who attempts an advance tackle. Desai turns and escapes comfortably. 

40' Siddharth Desai writhes his foot free from Sahil Gulia's ankle hold and escapes to the mid-line. 

39' ALL OUT! Siddharth Desai is allowed a bonus point following which an iron-clad ankle hold by Sagar brings about his downfall. Would you believe that!

Tamil Thalaivas 39-29 Telugu Titans

39' Huh? What has happened there? WOW! UNBELIEVABLE SCENES! A double ankle hold by Vijay Kumar is followed up by the second line of defense running around. As many as six defenders have thumped him down. However, the whistle had not gone yet! The defenders stop putting in an effort and Ajinkya Pawar just manages to leap over the pile of defenders and lunges himself towards the mid-line to cross it. The Titans are livid and believe the tackle should have been given but mind you, the whistle had not gone off yet so Pawar was still in play! Whew! A SIX POINT RAID! 

39' Do-or-die raid for the Titans and Siddharth Desai strikes! Sahil Gulia runs around for an advance block but Desai absolutely bulldozes his way through to the mid-line. 

38' Do-or-die raid for the Thalaivas and Himanshu Singh has been sent in for it. As soon as he attempts a bonus point, Vishal Bhardwaj puts in a double thigh hold to pin him down. 

A bonus point has been granted but the Titans review! The bonus is as clear as day and the review is unsuccessful! 

Tamil Thalaivas 30-28 Telugu Titans

37' M Abishek and Mohit run around for a dash but Siddharth Desai uses the lobby to make his way back to the mid-line.

Tamil Thalaivas 29-27 Telugu Titans

36' Ajinkya Pawar gets in a terrific sliding toe-touch to send back Parvesh Bhainswal. 

36' Siddharth Desai picks up a bonus point and as soon as he does that, Narender puts in an ankle hold but Desai writhes his foot free and escapes. 

TIMEOUT!

35' And now the Thalaivas have reviewed for a touch point as Narender was rightly sure of getting in a touch on Mohsen which has not been given. The toe-touch is attempted but Mohsen's foot is miles away from Narender's. 

Review unsuccessful! No point there!

Tamil Thalaivas 28-23 Telugu Titans

34' Siddharth Desai ventures deep in the left side of the defense and the covers run around and send him packing with a terrific block. M Abishek is the one who got the first touch there and gets the points. 

However, Titans review! M Abishek's block was very advance and Desai's sheer power has ensured that M Abishek too has to make his way back. Review successful! One point to the Titans! Well, that is quite surprising. Perhaps, it should have been one point to each side. 

33' ALL OUT! IT is a surrender raid for Himanshu Singh as Parvesh Bhainswal sends him back.

Tamil Thalaivas 28-22 Telugu Titans

33' Do-or-die raid for the Titans and Mohsen perishes! As soon as he looks to pick up a bonus point, Sagar pounces with a thigh hold and pins him down. 

32' Do-or-die raid for the Thalaivas and Himanshu Singh strikes! He turns suddenly and picks up a running hand touch on Vishal Bhardwaj to send him back.

Tamil Thalaivas 24-22 Telugu Titans

30' Mohsen Magshoudlou snaps up a bonus point in front of the cover defenders. 

30' Do-or-die raid for the Thalaivas and Vijay Kumar goes for an advance double ankle hold from which Himanshu Singh escapes and returns back to his half.

Tamil Thalaivas 23-21 Telugu Titans

29' Do-or-die raid for the Titans and Abhishek Singh perishes! He runs straight into Himanshu Singh's double ankle hold and the raider is immobilised! 

27' Do-or-die raid for the Thalaivas and Himanshu Singh strikes! Picks up a bonus point following which he gets the better of an unsure Surjeet as well, who could not make his mind up about the tackle.

Tamil Thalaivas 21-21 Telugu Titans

27' Do-or-die raid for the Titans and Siddharth Desai is pinned down once again! SUPER TACKLE! Another terrific double thigh by Sagar and the rest of the defense runs around for assistance in a heartbeat. It is a 2-point game suddenly!

Tamil Thalaivas 19-21 Telugu Titans

24' Narender is sent packing! As soon as he picks up the bonus point, Parvesh runs around and sends him spiralling out of bounds!

24' SUPER TACKLE! Siddharth Desai is brought down in a do-or-die raid. A double ankle hold by Sagar and the rest of the defense runs around for assistance in a flash.

23' Do-or-die raid for the Thalaivas and Ajinkya Pawar has been sent in for it. As soon as he picks up the bonus point, Mohsen lunges himself at his thighs and pins him down. 

21' SUEPR RAID! Siddharth Desai strikes right away in the second half! Gets a kick on Himanshu following which Sahil Gulia tries an ankle hold from which he writhes his foot free. M Abishek had run around for a dash as well which is to no avail.

Tamil Thalaivas 13-19 Telugu Titans

HALF TIME! Telugu Titans 16-13 Tamil Thalaivas

A tinge over fourteen minutes is what Narender has spent on the bench and his absence on the mat is being felt by the Thalaivas most certainly. It has been a close contest all throughout, with both sides trading blows but the all-out inflicted at the stroke of half time is what has shifted the momentum in favour of the Telugu Titans. Mind you, there are still twenty minutes of play left and this game can go in any direction. Will the Thalaivas fail to make a comeback or will the Titans plump down to another loss? Stick around to find out!

20' ALL OUT! Do-or-die raid for the Thalaivas and Ajinkya Pawar is allowed the bonus point. However, Mohsen runs around for a block and the rest of the defense piles upon him. 

20' Do-or-die raid for the Titans and Siddharth Desai strikes! He gets in a kick on M Abishek and gets in another point along the way in the form of Himanshu. 

18' Ajinkya Pawar snaps up a bonus point in front of the left corner defender.

Telugu Titans 11-12 Tamil Thalaivas

17' Do-or-die raid for the Titans and Mohsen strikes! Sagar puts in a double thigh hold but Mohsen escapes and uses his lobby to escape. 

16' Do-or-die raid for the Thalaivas and Narender comes in for it. However, he cannot strike as Surjeet puts in a terrific double thigh hold. 

14' Siddharth Desai runs straight into the surprise double thigh hold of Ajinkya Pawar, who ensures the lanky raider's demise. 

14' Himanshu is confident of getting in a hand touch courtesy of a flying hand touch. Parvesh Bhainswal has to make his way back to the bench.

Telugu Titans 9-10 Tamil Thalaivas

13' A brilliant kick from Siddharth Desai and he sends back Sahil Gulia back to the bench.

12' SUPER TACKLE! Abhishek Singh runs straight into the double thigh hold of Sagar and the rest of the defense runs around in a flash for assistance.

Telugu Titans 8-9 Tamil Thalaivas

12' Surjeet brings down Sachin with a splendid advance block. Thalaivas down to three men now!

10' As soon as Narender snaps up a bonus in front of the left-in defender, Vishal Bhardwaj lunges himself at his thigh and completes the double thigh hold to bring him down. 

10' Do-or-die raid for the Titans and Abhishek Singh has been sent in for it. As soon as he ventures deep in the right side of the defense, the left corner chain runs around and surrounds the raider.

Telugu Titans 6-6 Tamil Thalaivas

8' Do-or-die raid for the Thalaivas and Ajinkya Pawar perishes! He runs straight into the double thigh hold of Abhishek Singh in the left-in position and is pinned down. 

7' Abhishek Singh executes his trademark running hand touch and sends back M Abishek.

Telugu Titans 5-5 Tamil Thalaivas

6' Siddharth Desai is pinned down as Sahil Gulia puts in a double thigh hold and the second line of defense runs around for assistance instantly. 

6' Ajinkya Pawar picks up speed and gets in a running hand touch on Vishal Bhardwaj in the left corner.

5' Mohsen Magshoudlou puts in a double thigh hold from the right-in position and the raider is completely immobilised. 

4' A swift toe-touch from Siddharth Desai sends back Himanshi.

Telugu Titans 3-3 Tamil Thalaivas

4' Vishal Bhardwaj steps into the lobby as he does not judge where the lobby was and has to return to the bench. 

3' M Abishek runs around with a short block but Abhishek Singh shoves him aside and uses the lobby to escape. 

2' Vijay Kumar in the right corner puts in a double ankle hold on Narender, who is pinned down with relative ease. 

1' Siddharth Desai is brought down as Mohit runs around for a powerful block and the defense takes care of Desai's feet too.

1' Tamil Thalaivas get the first point as Narender sends back Mohsen to the bench.
