FULL TIME! Tamil Thalaivas 50 - 36 U Mumba

Tamil Thalaivas make it 4-in-4 and are one of the teams to beat currently! They are in the middle of a dream run and are looking dangerous. After a poor start to the season, this is a terrific comeback from them and they leapfrog over U Mumba to be placed seventh. A complete, comprehensive team performance from them and the Thalaivas will be mighty pleased. As for U Mumba, they needed this win desperately but they now have an 8-match winless streak instead. Things aren't looking too good for them and they will need to go back to the drawing board if they are to qualify. 

40' Jai Bhagwan with a couple of points! Goes deep as Abishek and Mohit run around from the covers for a dash. However, Jai uses the lobby and returns!

Ajinkya Pawar picks up pace and gets a running hand touch on the left corner Sombir. On the other side, an audacious back hold from Sahil Gulia ensures that Jai Bhagwan is pinned down!

Ajinkya Pawar ventures deep and as soon as he does that, an ankle hold along with support brings him down.

Tamil Thalaivas 50 - 36 U Mumba

40' Sagar stands a little advance and was in two minds about the ankle hold. Guman gets a hand touch on him and returns.

Guman Singh slips and loses his balance, which allows all the defenders to pounce on him and pin him down.

Shivansh Thakur from the right corner attempts an ankle hold on Ajinkya Pawar, who escapes in a do-or-die raid.

Tamil Thalaivas 48 - 31 U Mumba

38' Himanshu and Mohit from the covers combine and dash the substituted-in Pranay Rane spiralling out of bounds!

Do-or-die raid for the Thalaivas and Ajinkya Pawar perishes! The left corner chain runs around but Mahender gets a grip on his ankles and brings him down. However, Tamil Thalaivas review! They are suspecting some jersey-pulling there. There was a bit of jersey pulling there from Mahender Singh there indeed which has prevented Ajinkya from returning, as thought by the TV umpire.

The U Mumba raider is tackled as the right corner puts in a solid double thigh hold. Following this, it is a surrender raid as Sombir, the last remaining defender, pushes the Thalaiavs raider back. ALL OUT!

Guman Singh backtracks and returns in a flash as Mohit runs around for a dash. Guman used the lobby to escape.

Tamil Thalaivas 46 - 30 U Mumba

34' Sagar from the right corner runs around with a solid block which converts into a dash, resulting in Zafardanesh being tackled.

Do-or-die raid for Tamil Thalaivas and Narender is pinned down! Mukilan and Mahender from the left corner run around and Narender is tackled.

Jai Bhagwan is dashed out as Mohit runs around with a solid dash and sends him spiralling out of bounds.

Tamil Thalaivas 40 - 29 U Mumba

32' Guman ventures deep and gets a hand touch on M Abishek in the left-in position. Ajinkya Pawar runs around and gets a running hand touch on Sombir in the left corner position.

Mohit and Himanshu run around from the left side with a chain. Guman tries to run around them but Mohit gets a grip on Guman's waist while Himanshu assists with the block.

Tamil Thalaivas 38 - 28 U Mumba

30' Narender returns with a point as Jai Bhagwan is sent back. Guman Singh, on the other side, escapes from Sahil Gulia's double thigh hold and returns in a flash.

Narender tries a dubki but Sombir from the left corner runs around and all the defenders together bring him down.

Tamil Thalaivas 36 - 27 U Mumba

28' Zafardanesh is tackled now as he fails to leap over the right cover's attempted double thigh hold. He went in the air but came down in the wrong direction.

Do-or-die raid for the Thalaivas and Narender strikes! He pushes aside Sombir and returns back to his half. On the other side, Jai Bhagwan puts in a kick on Himanshu in the left-in position and returns with a point.

Guman Singh picks up pace and gets a running hand touch on Mohit in the left cover.

Tamil Thalaivas 35 - 25 U Mumba

26' Guman Singh snaps up a bonus point in front of the right corner defender. On the other side, it is a do-or-die raid for the Thalaivas and Ajinkya Pawar strikes, getting a flying hand touch on Mukilan in the left cover.

Zafardanesh snaps up a bonus point following which he leaps over Sagar's double thigh hold and returns.

Ajinkya Pawar tries a dubki through the right corner chain but instant assistance from the other defenders ensure that he is pinned down. On the other side, a diving double ankle hold from Narender from the right-in position brings down Narender.

22' Ajinkya Pawar gets a hand touch on Mahender Singh in the left corner.

ALL OUT! Jai Bhagwan is allowed a bonus point following which he runs straight into the block of the right corner Sagar, who stood tall with a chain.

A toe-touch from Guman Singh sends back Narender from the right-in position.

A comfortable ten-point lead for the Tamil Thalaivas and they have been mighty dominant today. They have picked up right from where they left off against the Telugu Titans and have made sure that they don't allow U Mumba too much breathing space. Far too many errors from U Mumba where the defense is concerned. Surinder Singh has been tagged numerous times while most of their tackles are turning out to be unsuccessful. They will need a special turnaround if they are to win but for now, the Thalaivas seem all set to continue their bull run and go above their opponents of today. 

20' Sagar puts in a double ankle hold but Guman tumbles and drags himself back to the mid-line. Mukilan pounces at Narender's thighs but the raider escapes in a flash.

Zafardanesh is tackled as a double ankle hold from Sahil Gulia ensures that Zafardanesh cannot return to the mid-line. Narender picks up pace and gets a running hand touch on Sombir in the left corner.

Guman Singh is pinned down now as an ankle hold from Narender from the right-in position brings him down.

U Mumba 17 - 27 Tamil Thalaivas

17' Surinder Singh is in two minds about a dash and Narender extends his hand and gets a touch on him. Could we see him being substituted out?

Zafardanesh leaps at Narender's ankles but Narender is quick to backtrack and return.

Do-or-die raid for U Mumba and Visvanth V perishes! Ventures deep in the right corner and a diving double ankle hold from Sagar brings the raider down.

Ajinkya Pawar runs around and fails to stop his momentum as he ends up stepping into the lobby by himself. A self out.

15' Narender escapes from Surinder's attempted double thigh hold from the left-in position and returns. Visvanth V is tackled now as Sahil Gulia stands tall with a chain and traps the raider in it.

SUPER TACKLE! A diving ankle hold from Bittu from the right corner and the rest of the defense run around in a flash for assistance.

SUPER RAID! Zafardanesh escapes from the left corner's ankle hold and gets both covers on the way back too! Propels himself to the mid-line and returns! U Mumba making a comeback here!

U Mumba 15 - 20 Tamil Thalaivas

12' Narender snaps up a bonus point in front of the right corner. On the other side, a terrific ankle hold from Sagar sees Guman being pinned down.

10' Zafardanesh is brought down! A double thigh hold from M Abishek and Zafar has to return to the bench!

On the other side, Narender fails to bulldoze his way back to the mid-line as Mukilan Shanmugan runs around and puts in a solid block.

A toe-touch from Guman Singh while trying a bonus point results in Sagar having to return. Ajinkya Pawar returns the favour with a kick on Bittu.

Zafardanesh once again fails to get any points. A solid ankle hold from Sahil Gulia and Abishek runs around for assistance. Abishek has gone out of bounds here. One point to each side. 

U Mumba 10 - 16 Tamil Thalaivas

8' Ajinkya Pawar ventures very deep and gets a touch on Visvanth V, who is manning the right corner.

Zafardanesh tries a bonus point but it is not awarded. M Abishek runs around and this time, ends up sending him spiralling out of bounds!

Ajinkya Pawar escapes from Sombir's ankle hold and escapes in a flash to reduce U Mumba down to one man.

ALL OUT! Guman Singh is allowed the bonus point following which, he runs straight into the block of Mohit from the left cover.

6' Zafardanesh snaps up a bonus point in front of the left corner defender and Abishek runs around for a dash. However, Zafardanesh uses the lobby and escapes.

Narender strikes! Escapes from Bittu's ankle hold and gets Surinder Singh on the way back too!

U Mumba 6 - 7 Tamil Thalaivas

4' Himanshu strikes with a SUPER RAID! Oh wow! FOUR POINTER! Himanshu snaps up a bonus following which Bittu goes in for an ankle hold from which Himanshu escapes. Surinder and Mukilan run around for a dash but cannot stop him.

Do-or-die raid for U Mumba and Zafardanesh opens his tally with a bonus point in front of the left corner defender.

Sahil Gulia from the left corner tries an advance block but Guman turns and escapes. U Mumba slowly rebuilding.

2' Guman uses the lobby and escapes in a flash as Mohit runs around for a dash but fails. 

Bittu brings down Narender with an atrocious tackle! As soon as Narender picks up the bonus point, Bittu puts in a solid back hold which brings him down.

Hello and welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of the Pro Kabaddi League, 2023. We are well and truly into the business end of the tournament, with most teams having less than seven matches remaining. Two teams who will be desperate for a win today will be locking horns as the Tamil Thalaivas lock horns with U Mumba at the Pataliputra Indoor Stadium, Patna. 

Tamil Thalaivas are placed in the tenth position with just six wins to their name from 15 matches. The Thalaivas were on the verge of getting eliminated but a four wins in five games has seen them make a miraculous comeback. They will be brimming high on confidence, especially after a massive win against the Telugu Titans which gave their score difference a huge boost. A win today will bring them well into the reckoning for a playoffs spot and that is just what the Thalaivas will be targeting after a hat-trick of wins. 

U Mumba, on the other hand, have had a very very poor past few games. They are in the midst of a crisis, and are winless for a span of seven games. They have tried a lot of permutations and combinations and still do not seem very settled with their squad after injuries to some of their players. U Mumba will have to try something different this time. They are usually off the blocks quickly but have squandered leads. It will be interesting to see how they line-up today and go about their business.
