And that completes it! A dominant win for the Pirates as the Telugu Titans crash to their second loss of the tournament. It was Pawan Sehrawat vs the Patna Pirates in this match. Apart from the Titans' skipper, there was hardly anyone who put their hand up and contributed to the team's cause. They face a massive 22-point loss in the end and credit to the Pirates, they look like a force to reckon with already. 

Sachin scored his Super 10 and he's carrying on his rich vein of form from PKL 9. Manjeet played his role of secondary raider to perfection, picking up 8 points. However, it was Ankit in the left corner who stole the show with his ankle holds, back holds and thigh holds. He will certainly be one player to watch out for this season. The second Super 10 of Pawan in as many games but once again, it goes in vain. The Pirates will charge ahead with confidence while the Titans have a lot of thinking to do before their next. 

40' Pawan, the lone man standing, goes in and runs down the clock before returning. And that's pretty symbolic of how this match has been. It has been Pawan alone who has performed and has found himself without support.

A 12-point lead for the Patna Pirates at half time in their debut outing and they have simply been exceptional today! They've planned immaculately against the raiders of the Titans while the defense of the Titans has not posed any problems. 

Pawan has been kept quiet largely in this half and he looks a little ginger as well, which is not the best of news for Titans' fans. As for the Pirates, Ankit in the left corner is emerging to be their star while the raiding unit is looking solid. Two All Outs inflicted in this half and the Pirates are running away with the game.

Hello and a very warm welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of the Pro Kabaddi League, 2023. The eighth match of the tournament will witness Telugu Titans lock horns with Patna Pirates at the EKA Arena by TransStadia, Ahmedabad. 

The Telugu Titans played the Season 10 curtain-raiser against Gujarat Giants but the Pawan Sehrawat-led outfit could not cross the finish line, going down fighting to the home team. There were certainly a few positives for the Titans to take home from the game, including Pawan's Super 10 but there was nothing to write home about as far as the defense was concerned. 

Having spent more than half their purse on Pawan, the Titans' defensive prowess might be compromised. They will need the raiders to step up and cover up for any deficiencies that they have in their defense. However, it would be foolish to write them off as today presents a new opportunity for their players to step up and perform. 

The Patna Pirates will be making their debut appearance in this edition of the Pro Kabaddi League. They had a good auction, adding a big-name raider in Manjeet to the squad. With Sachin, Manjeet and Rakesh Narwal in their ranks, they have three reliable raiders who can shoulder responsibility and get the job done. 

As far as their defense is concerned, they have skipper Neeraj Kumar and Sajin Chandrasekar to watch out for. Their defense might see some NYPs starting off today. All-in-all, the Pirates do look all set to have a good campaign in PKL 10. It will be interesting to see how they go about their business today.
