U Mumba 34 - 40 Dabang Delhi KC

What a rollercoaster ride that was! U Mumba quickly leveled the tie at the start of the 2nd half, and for the bulk of the half, the two teams remained neck and neck on points, with the raiders firmly on top. However, the tide turned for Delhi after the timeout as they overturn a 3-point U Mumba lead with some quality raiding from Manjeet and Ashu Malik. Delhi used their reviews to perfection to get some crucial decisions in their favor and eventually win by a 6-point margin, moving to 2nd on the points table.

Zafardanesh and Guman Singh were in great form for U Mumba, with Jai Bhagwan also contributing some handy points. However, their defending let them down as advanced and late challenges flew in both halves. Credit must also be given to Manjeet and Ashu Malik for inducing those errors, with the latter finishing with 13 raid points. Yogesh and Mohit on the right side of Delhi's defense had a good game, and that proved crucial in the end.

We witnessed some stellar kabaddi action on Day 4 of the Mumbai leg. The Bengaluru Bulls' miraculuous comeback against the Patna Pirates was followed by a thrilling encounter between the hosts and Dabang Delhi KC. Until next time, this is Shreyas signing off! Good Night!
2nd Half, 40'
U Mumba 34 - 40 Dabang Delhi KC

Delhi register their 4th successive win in fine fashion, closing this game out with some terrific game management and reviews. U Mumba's morale was clearly crushed after the 3rd successful review and Zafardanesh and Pranay Rane's attempts to score some quick points leads to them being tackled.
2nd Half, 39'
U Mumba 33 - 38 Dabang Delhi KC

Manjeet goes in for a do-or-die raid, and the U Mumba defense do well not to engage in a tackle until the very last moment, bringing him down easily. However, Delhi review for a bonus point, and this could prove to be crucial in how this game goes.

And guess what? Once again, their review is successful. The deficit remains four points. Make that three as Alireza gets away in time from Mohit's dash.

However, Delhi review once again and contend that no part of his body was within the playing field when he crossed the mid-line. This is another smart review as they're getting plenty of time to discuss their plans for the final moments of the match, irrespective whether it's successful.

You will not believe this! The review is successful, that's 3/3 from Delhi today, and that should be the game!
Alireza on for U Mumba, can the Iranian make an impact in these last 100 seconds?
2nd Half, 38'
U Mumba 32 - 36 Dabang Delhi KC

Zafardanesh gets a very quick bonus for U Mumba as Delhi put in 27 or 28-second raids at the other end. He once again troubles the Delhi defense with his pace, claiming a touch on Yogesh, but it isn't awarded.

He reviews the decision, but it's unsuccessful.
2nd Half, 37
U Mumba 31 - 36 Dabang Delhi KC

There's a lot going on here as U Mumba stare at an all-out. U Mumba down to two and staring at an all-out as Ashu Malik goes in to raid. He forces an error from Gokulakannan who steps out of bounds. Bittu tries his best to evade the touch as the lone man on the mat, but Ashu manages to get one, or so he thinks.

The point isn't awarded initially, but he confidently reviews. And the decision is eventually overturned, completing the all-out for Delhi, getting them a crucial 5-point lead with a little over three minutes to play.
2nd Half, 36'
U Mumba 31 - 32 Dabang Delhi KC

Pranay Rane is substituted on by U Mumba and he gets a quick touch point on Vishal Bhardwaj, but gets tackled in his very next raid by a well-timed block from the right cover. Ashu Malik adds to his tally with another easy touch point, this time on Mahender Singh.
2nd Half, 35'
U Mumba 30 - 30 Dabang Delhi KC

It's a do-or-die raid for Ashu Malik in the toughest of situations for a raider, 1v4. He's out of ideas and is tackled by Sombir in the left corner, but he steps out of bounds, and that helps Delhi get level.
2nd Half, 33'
U Mumba 30 - 29 Dabang Delhi KC

It's a do-or-die raid straight up for Delhi, but Manjeet puts in a brilliant dive to get the touch on Gokulakannan, who was too slow to retreat. Guman Singh backs himself and his ability to pick up the bonus point in U Mumba's subsequent raid. Manjeet keeps the points flowing for Delhi, however, anticipating the ankle hold from the left-in Zafardanesh and getting away easily.

Yogesh then puts in a monstrous back hold to stop Guman Singh right in his tracks. Just a point separating the two teams now. This one should go down to the wire!
2nd Half, 30'
U Mumba 29 - 26 Dabang Delhi KC

The game finally slows down as both teams take a breather, putting in some empty raids. However, Yogesh's weak ankle hold attempt on Guman Singh allows U Mumba to extend their lead to 3, and they'll look to extend that even further post the timeout.
U Mumba captain Surinder Singh is substituted, with Gokulakannan brought on in his place. That was coming, you have to say.
2nd Half, 28'
U Mumba 28 - 26 Dabang Delhi KC

Surinder Singh's poor evening continues as he puts in his 6th unsuccessful tackle, this time an attempt on Manjeet. He's quickly revived, however, as Bittu and the rest of the defense combine to send Ashu Malik back to the bench.
2nd Half, 26'
U Mumba 27 - 25 Dabang Delhi KC

Vishal Bhardwaj's aggressive defending pays off against Guman Singh, but at the other end, Ashu Malik is brought down by an expertly executed ankle hold from Zafardanesh, who's having a stellar game.
2nd Half, 24'
U Mumba 25 - 24 Dabang Delhi KC

It looks like Dabang Delhi have taken the baton from U Mumba to make some reckless advanced tackles in this 2nd half. They make two in quick succession to gift Zafardanesh and Guman Singh with points. Ashu Malik continues doing what he's doing, though, drawing yet another mistimed dash attempt from Surinder Singh which he easily escapes from. He's already scored a Super 10, has Ashu.
2nd Half, 22'
U Mumba 22 - 22 Dabang Delhi KC

Ashu is unable to get a touch point in the first raid of the half, and it's easy pickings for Zafardanesh when he comes in to raid in a 1v2 situation. U Mumba then stay very very patient to not commit to a challenge on Ashu Malik, tiring him out before pouncing to complete the all-out, leveling the scores in the process.
Half-Time
U Mumba 18 - 20 Dabang Delhi KC

This has to be one of the most high-scoring games of the season as both teams' raiders made the most of some questionable and indecisive defending. Ashu Malik is already on 8 raid points for Delhi, with Yogesh in the right corner also impressing, with three tackle points.

U Mumba's defending has been nothing short of shambolic, but all three of their raiders have scored five raid points apiece. With only two players left on the mat for Delhi, they'll target an early all-out to regain the lead. However, it is Delhi who will raid first. Can Ashu Malik save them from the all-out or will U Mumba complete their comeback?
1st Half, 20'
U Mumba 18 - 20 Dabang Delhi KC

U Mumba finish the 1st half strongly as Zafardanesh and Jai Bhagwan both pick up their respective 5th raid points of the match to reduce the deficit to two points before the whistle blows for half-time.
1st Half, 18'
U Mumba 16 - 20 Dabang Delhi KC

This has completely been a raider's game, with both teams' defenders finding hard to stop the raiding powerhouses on both end. Zafardanesh continues to add points to his tally, but Ashu Malik ensures Delhi's lead is intact, with Surinder Singh and Bittu really struggling to keep up with his trickery.
1st Half, 16'
U Mumba 15 - 19 Dabang Delhi KC

Jai Bhagwan seems to have hit his stride as he picks up a two-point raid, targeting the left side of the Delhi defense and taking out both the corners. Ashu Malik pulls one back, once again making Bittu lose his balance.
1st Half, 14'
U Mumba 13 - 17 Dabang Delhi KC

Jai Bhagwan opens his account with a touch point on the Delhi left cover before Surinder Singh finally gets one right, with a well-timed dash on Meetu.
1st Half, 12'
U Mumba 11 - 16 Dabang Delhi KC

Both teams seem to have received instructions to slow the game down post the timeout. Guman Singh is dashed out by Vikrant despite his best efforts. U Mumba get only their 2nd tackle point of the night as Bittu puts in a diving ankle hold with great conviction on Manjeet and get the necessary support in the nick of time.
1st Half, 10'
U Mumba 10 - 15 Dabang Delhi KC

First all-out of the match and it who else but Dabang Delhi KC. Ashu Malik gets an easy touch point on Jai Bhagwan in a 1v2 situation, and the Delhi defense have no problems in bringing Guman Singh down in the following raid.

Post the all-out, U Mumba start strongly, with Zafardanesh picking up a raid and tackle point apiece. However, Yogesh picks up his 3rd tackle point of the night to give Delhi a 5-point lead heading into the first timeout of the match.

This match has moved at a breakneck pace!
1st Half, 8'
U Mumba 6 - 8 Dabang Delhi KC

This U Mumba defense is making error after error. Bittu loses his balance and steps into the lobby and Manjeet gets a touch on Mahender Singh in the same raid to take the lead. Meetu then follows it up with another multi-point raid.
1st Half, 6'
U Mumba 5 - 5 Dabang Delhi KC

Ashu gets another point gifted to him, this time by Surinder, who's simply too advanced.

The 1st tackle point of the night then goes the way of Dabang Delhi, courtesy of Yogesh Dahiya. Zafardanesh is a hard man to get ahold of, but the right corner times his back hold to perfection and stops him right in his tracks.
1st Half, 4'
U Mumba 5 - 3 Dabang Delhi KC

Zafardanesh has started this game brilliantly, picking up three raid points on the trot. However, Ashu has matched his output, and U Mumba have gone nowhere near tackling him.

U Mumba keep piling on the raid points, however, showing why they're the best raiding unit in the league. It's Guman Singh this time as he surprises the Delhi left cover with a swift toe touch.
1st Half, 2'
U Mumba 2 - 2 Dabang Delhi KC

Guman starts well, picking up a bonus point right under the nose of Yogesh. Ashu Malik then gets the easiest of touch points on an indecisive Bittu at the U Mumba right corner.

Zafardanesh uses his height to good effect to escape from Ashish's challenge. Ashu revives him immediately, however, as Jai Bhagwan comes in with a needless diving tackle which he easily escapes from.

Busy start this from both teams.
We're all set for live action. Guman Singh to start proceedings for U Mumba.

Hello, and Welcome to Sportskeeda's coverage of PKL 10. We're four days into the Mumbai leg of the season, and after an engrossing encounter between the Bengaluru Bulls and the Patna Pirates, it's the home team U Mumba that takes to the mat, going up against Dabang Delhi KC in a Monday doubleheader.

U Mumba's 5-match winning run came to an end on Saturday as they went down 31-41 to the Jaipur Pink Panthers. While Guman Singh impressed with his raiding, picking up a Super 10 in the first half itself, the defense had a poor outing, with U Mumba scoring only three tackle points in total.

While they faced Arjun Deshwal in that match, Ashu Malik won't be an easy opponent either, and it'll be interesting to see if the defense can rise to the occasion this time around.

It has been some effort from Dabang Delhi KC to soldier on in the absence of captain Naveen Kumar and register a hat-trick of wins since his injury against the Jaipur Pink Panthers. Their most recent win was a 38-37 thriller against the Patna Pirates.

After leading 26-13 at half-time, they'd have been disappointed at letting the Pirates back into the match, leading to a nervous conclusion. However, good time management towards the end ensured they ended up on the winning side.

Ashu Malik scored a Super 10 with good support from Manjeet and Meetu, but it was the two corner defenders Yogesh (right) and Ashish (left) who made the difference, scoring nine tackle points between them.

There are plenty of top players in action in this clash at the top half of the table, and this one should go down to the wire. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy as I, Shreyas, take you through all that unfolds over the next hour and a half.
