FULL-TIME! U Mumba 35 - 44 Gujarat Giants

The defense yet again in the last ten minutes has always been a problem for U Mumba as they commit silly errors. There were dashes and blocks which were unnecessary from the defenders that costed them the defeat with more than a seven point difference.

Guman Singh yet again stood out and was the only silver lining for U Mumba as he gets his SUPER 10. It was never enough for them as there was no support eitherways in the raiding or in the defense of U Mumba. They started off well but they fail to take the momentum throughout the one hour.

Parteek Dahiya gets another SUPER 10 under his name for Gujarat Giants with Sonu chipping in six raid points. The raiding was sorted as they kept ticking the scoreboard while the defense was slightly tested in the first half but they came back stronger than ever before.

Every defender got a minimum of two points under their names which is a good sign for Giants as they are not completely dependent on their skipper Fazel. With this, they would look to continue the same winning momentum while U Mumba are still in the search to break their streak of defeats and ties.

37' Amirmohammad gets a huge point here, Fazel is out of the mat as Zafardanesh escapes his ankle hold from the left corner. Huge moment here, can U Mumba make a comeback from here?

Amirmohammad is tackled by Narender Hooda in the left corner with the ankle hold. The defense is just fire for Gujarat and they are not giving away easy points.

Amirmohammad is again tackled easily as Fazel comes in with an ankle hold from the left corner. Making him play makes no sense for U Mumba as he is clearly being uncomfortable there.

Guman is tackled by Deepak in the left cover with a back hold and other defenders bounce on him for the assist!

U Mumba clearly had fixed plans when they went on and tackled with spot on aggression in the first ten minutes and never gave away easy points for the raiders of Gujarat. But then, after the entry of Sonu into the mat the defense of U Mumba was really tested and ended up with one ALL-OUT as well. Guman has been the one player who has been consistent throught.

Gujarat Giants started off slow but are slowly cruising as both Parteek and Sonu have their momentum set to carry forward in the second half. Their defense was not tested and has pretty much been a smooth ride so far. 
Yet they do not have a huge lead and its merely just a three point one.

Hey and welcome to the Sportskeeda's live coverage of Pro Kabaddi League 2023! We are all in for the first day at a brand new leg at Patna. After the first clash, we are gearing up in Patliputra for the second game of the day where U Mumba are taking on Gujarat Giants!

For U Mumba, the recent clashes have been very close encounters where they have either lost the game by the barest of margins or got the score levelled. After a successful home leg, they are yet to find the winning momentum to keep them in the race for the playoffs. Amir Mohammad Zafardanesh's injury can be a big concern as he was playing as the second lead raider.

Giants on the other hand, though they haven't been consistent with the wins, they are securing the fourth place in the points table. They have also had a campaign similar to U Mumba which was not very predictable. The raiding has been a point of concern for this team as they keep shuffling the players in that department.
